Completed plant hanger

I promised to show you my completed macrame project – here it is. Not bad for a first attempt, I’m quite pleased with it and, most importantly, it does the job I needed it for. It actually didn’t take long at all, in one evening it was complete even though I had to go back and re-do bits a couple of times. Now that I know what I’m doing it is tempting to make some more. Making things is so satisfying and if they don’t take long then that’s a bonus in my life at the moment! The problem is I don’t think I really need any more. And I already have a whole lot of other projects I want to get to – building swift nest-boxes for example, and making new curtains for the kitchen. But those are not things I can do quietly while chatting to the others or watching something together. Do you like to do things with your hands or are you happy without anything? Well done! You are always busy doing something. I like keeping busy with my hands too, though I'm not crafty. Mine is writing.

I think you did an outstanding job on the plant hanger. It looks really nice. I used to do all kinds of crafts and needlework; but the arthritis in my hands is too bad. Have a good day.

I love to do things with my hands. It's therapeutic and so healing. In fact I am always involved with some or the other handmade projects. I have done a few plant hangers with Macrame and donated it to the school where I work. I did it as a part of curriculum and involved few special needs and few regular children with me. This plant hanger looks so good. Very good for a first attempt

I really like it! I wish I were better at doing things with my hands, but alas, I’m not. I did make an art project out of a discarded tissue box once, and I was ridiculously proud of that.

Amazing work! It looks pretty, sturdy, and I like the colors that were chosen as well. I've been thinking of stuff I'd make when I was a kid. Back then I definitely enjoyed crafting... now I lack the space, the room, the time and other excuses.

I used to have some macrame hangers I had made. But then I could not find the kind of material I liked (the one that you used). So I haven´t done that for some years.

I love it. I make lots of things with my hands - from dolls to bags.
