First responders rescue a dog from a sinkhole

Roanoke County Fire And Rescue firefighters answered an emergency call on Monday to rescue a dog that was trapped in a sinkhole in Craig County.
The firefighters were able to rescue the dog who was inside of the sinkhole by using a harness and rope to get the dog out of the danger zone in a rescue that took place in a wooded rural area in Virginia.
Even though the rescue of the dog took several hours, the dog was reunited to his or her owner which made the owner of the dog a very happy person.
How did the dog fell into the sinkhole is anyone's guess.

Poor doggy I am glad he was rescued, Dogs seem to get into the darndest situations, Reminded me of the horror movie Cujo where the Saint Bernard stick his head into a hole of a cave and gets bit by a bat which results in rabies which is the topic of this movie - mad dog,

Sinkholes in my nation are happening a lot more due to the extreme bad weather that have hit the cities via thunderstorms.

Those sinkholes can form unexpectantly in an instant. Maybe the dog was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Thank goodness for the first responders. What would we do without them.

With the increasing number of sinkholes opening up all over the place these days, it might have just been a case of bad luck that the poor dog got trapped down one.
