The powers that be who are here temporarily until a real manager gets hired has finally hired someone to do the mowing. Hopefully permanently as we have only had the grounds mowed once this spring so far. It is a hayfield out there. So, I was outside with DaisyMae this morning and this temporary manager came around with the mower person she hired. We were out front by the main flowerbeds, and she was telling him to get the weeds out. He was asking which plants were flowers and which were weeds. I told them about the very invasive honeysuckle that is taking over everywhere. She agreed. But then she told him to get rid of these wide leaf weeds (actually beautiful hollyhocks). I told her they were not weeds but hollyhocks that would be blooming soon. She said they looked like weeds to her and needed out. Then she told me that I have no part in it. I wish I had asked her, no part. I only live here. But right now, I am not in the place to make waves while I wait on the funds to arrive for my home loan so I can move. The mowing people weed whacked the remaining plants in my little flowerbed. The photo shows the results. This is only the beginning. Actually, the bad changes have been going on for awhile now, but it is only going to get worse. One of those things is our community/activity room. We have always had a place there to put things we no longer wanted. We call it the Free Table. It is a place where we share things with each other. This weekend, the lady who gave me the old teenage dieffenbachia was getting things ready for moving out and had put things there she wasn't taking with her. That temporary manager threw everything in the dumpster Tuesday morning and posted a sign that if we put anything there again, she will lock up the room and no one will be allowed in there. I have lived here almost 9 years. It has never been such a "h e double hockey sticks" in the past. But this past 2 years has been awful.

Sorry this is happening. Have you heard anything about the house? I don't know these people running your place..wouldn't want to meet them..they surely have hearts of stone.

No. I cannot even think of getting a house now until at least October when the next funding goes through. Depending on how much they get, I might not be able to house hunt until January or even later. It is frustrating that I have the loan but yet don't.

That lady must have a boss. I wish you could find that boss and tell that person what is going on. All the low income housing that I've encountered had free tables. I'm sorry you are going through this nastiness.

She sounds like a witch. Good thing you are getting out of there.

the photo is making me sad. okay, you are not in charge, but your opinion should be considered, if a normal person was a manager. really sorry and for threatening to lock community room, i have no words.

That's awful. It's a pity things are changing there.
