We have a chilly but sunny Saturday here. I have not turned on the news for 2 days so I´m not depressed anymore.
In these two days I have been learning more about what Alexa can do for me. And I have discovered that she "knows" the Mexican ranchera I like to hear when I´m depressed. It is over 60 years old and still as good as new. I have also listened to other songs but I still can´t dance or move through the entire Tragedy by the Bee Gees. I am not giving up.
I got up today to buy a gas cylinder and ate the rest of the tuna salad in a piece of warmed black bread. Now I´m in bed again with the heater on. I´m not cold here but I dread the moment, soon, when I will have to get up and not only take a shower but wash my hair.
Today I ended my time with music with Chavela Vargas and her version of La llorona. Maybe some of you have heard it if you saw the movie "Frida" about Frida Kahlo.

@MarieCoyle I have had to choose between spending in heating the house (part of it) or spending maybe more money in doctors, pills and Ubers to the doctor. Where I live, a lot of people are ill. Some have just nasty colds and others even have flu.

That's what we have to do sometimes, to stay warm. Pile on the blankets, fire up the heaters, just be warm!

Chavela Vargas was one of the most famous Mexican singers of folk music. She was born in Costa Rica but she said that you did not have to be born in a country to be part of it.
