Friday is Pizza Night and a Movie

Jay made this up, probably about five years ago. Friday evening is out date night, at home. Have we kept up with this great idea? Most Fridays my husband is either out of town or doing something with one of his friends:)
Nope, this isn't something that I object to. Especially, when his travels include a funeral in the family.
Anyway, we're back doing what we started, way back when! Friday, we usually order a pizza for supper and then, select a good movie to watch at home.
Some of our movies we've seen them before. But, it has been such a long time ago, we can't remember what happens in the story.
I look forward to ordering another pizza tonight, Hungry Howie's is my favorite!

Even we have a similar kind of Friday night ritual and it's going good in the last 24 years. We also stay awake till late night and watch some movies together. On few occasions, we have made it family date as we watch some movies together as family, but mostly it's two of us. Yes, there has been times when he was traveling on a Friday.

With my family while I was growing up, Friday evening we watched TV together:) Back then, the shows were all in black and white, but we still enjoyed seeing the movies! There were 4 children and our parents, sharing in that fun! Sunday evening was the same, to watch Bonanza:)

@kobesbuddy I think we enjoyed it more in those days as our options were limited. Movie outing was not so frequent and we really enjoyed it in big groups. But now we have plenty of options, theatres, YouTube, streaming platforms and various other platforms.

@arunima25 Yes! I agree with you, our options now are countless:( Back in those days, our enjoyment was so much greater! Family time was something we all looked forward to:) Some children have never experienced spending time with their family, this is sad!

Thankyou, Zain:) We sorta drifted apart, without fully understanding this wasn't healthy. The changes frightened us, because our special moments at home were few and far between. We both made up our mind, never to allow friends to be more important, than quality time spent with our spouse!
