Let's Disturb Some Flies

I just read this ad in between comments on here about a way to rid yourself of pesky flies. It says to put some water in a plastic bag, and add some pennies to this. Place them in areas where you are having trouble with flies. The glittering of the pennies reflects light and it disturbs flies. They become agitated and go elsewhere. I wonder if this would actually work or, just attract more flies. If any of you try it do let us know if it works.
