A recent project but not for us

When we came to Perth three years ago (how time flies), we brought with us about a dozen railway ‘dogs’ or spikes. We used some at Donnybrook to make racks. One was a long one which held extension cords in the shed and we also had one in the laundry.
A week or so ago, together with my brother-in-law, we made a rack for him with four pegs. He had some scrap timber which we planed down a bit smoother. We treated the wood with a turpentine and linseed oil mix and coated the pegs with an acid before painting them black.
It’s now hanging outside his side door to take coats or whatever. The photo shows it sitting in our patio.

We could easily make you one but are you allowed to take wooden products into the US? Australia is pretty fussy about wooden imports.

@JudyEv I actually didn't even think about that. Well we will have to visit and you'll have to make me a marmite sammich! That's a thing you guys do there right?

@JudyEv They definitely have use in all these areas. Something to hang our things always comes handy. The place also stays neat and sorted out.

About every second person has one of those tables. They're good for outdoors on a patio or whatever. The racks aren't hard to make if you have a few basic tools. You'd have to find some pegs of course. You can buy them here on EBay for about $1 each but we picked these up alongside a railway line.
