We are under a severe thunderstorm alert. Possible 90 mph winds.
My friend Jane is about 20 miles away and just lost power.
I have piddled and done this and that this evening. The rain has just started. Lightening is putting on quite a show.
All the trash is out for tomorrow. I washed two of the trash cans, because, evidently, my bags leak.
I just wanted to get this posted, then I will go to another room.

Stay safe. If you do lose power, I hope it's restored quickly.

Ahhhh, the good old days out in the country. It would rain ten drops and we would lose power for 3 days. I don't miss losing power, but I do miss the quiet and the sound of the critters passing through. We had a raccoon come through last week, it was a beauty!!! It was sleek and the coat was gorgeous. It had been dining on leftovers at various places and mine was on its list.
Hope you have candles, battery lights, or lanterns to keep you "lit" until you go to bed. Make sure you have a flashlight to light your way to the bathroom. I tried going one night without one...I ended up peeing on Freya, she jumped up into the toilet before I sat down...well I couldn't hold it and ended up having to wash the cat. She doesn't jump up when I'm preparing to sit down, at least anymore. Good thinking!!! But do be very careful!!!
I do have to add one thing. My exhusband used to wait for me to use the toilet and warm the seat at night during the power outages, when he went first he would leave the seat up and laugh when I fell in. I cured him one really cold snowy winter night (25 degrees below zero) I used the toilet first, sat a good long time so he knew the seat would be good and warm (sure during a power failure), flushed and I lifted up the seat. He got up and since there was no light he couldn't see that the seat was up, and he sat in a bowl of icy cold water. Funny, it sure cured him of leaving the toilet seat up!

I hope you didn't lose power. Sounds like a mighty strong storm.
