I have started writing my story also and it has actually been challenging during some parts. Things come back to you and emotions come up. It was hard to write through those parts but it was like a release when I was done.

I am writing a book about my expierences of moving and living in a foreign country. It is about how I met my hubby and the nightmare of having to deal with 2 different governments. I am also almost done with my book of poems. I say go for it. People like to know they are not the only ones going through tough times. Your experiences just may help some people out there. It is always easier from writing what you know. Good luck!

I say if you want to write go for it! I like writing, infact I recently wrote a book about starting small business, I chose that topic because I did studies along that line and I also taught business studies. I think anyone would be interested in reading an inspirational story, so if you have been through a lot and have lived to see better days - write it. Proceed by first making a plan - write down a plot so to speak of the order you want to write in, for such a book, chronological order of events would be easier. Give yourself a time frame within wish you would like to complete your book say 3 months of course you could make the time longer or shorter depending on how long your story will be but give yourself a precise time. Further shorten that into weeks or days - how many hours per day or week would you need to write in order to reach your target date? When you decide on that- you should write in your write time, don't worry about order, spellings or grammer just write! Make a promise to yourself, you need to get this done and you need to stick to your plan. When I started writing, I thought 'oh gosh, what am I doing, I can't do this!' But I made a plan just like I mentioned above, and I stuck to it. I wrote some of the middle before earlier parts and some of the end before the middle. So just start and when you are all done you can organise, re-read make corrections etc. Good luck:-)

I've written a 50K novel during NaNoWriMo (although it isn't yet at the middle of the story). The novel was a horror apocalyptic story, set in Portugal of today. It is greatly inspired in Stephen King's "The Stand", though only the apocalyptic theme and the few survivors are common to both. For now I'll lay the novel aside, and I'll start a new novel (it will be probably a short story, around 50K words, but I would like to make it a full novel, like 100K-150K). The novel will be a mixture of romance with some horror elements, set in the near future (maybe 30-50 years from now, so it will not be sci-fi). I have great hopes for this one, I'm just waiting the call of my muse to start it (she visited me a few days ago saying to wait for the weekend :) Oh, by the way, I'm writing in Portuguese, so don't be amazed at my faulty English for a writer ;)

Currently I'm only writing articles for a site. I want to write a book; and just started with an e-mail lesson on "how to write your book faster than you thought possible". If anyone is interested in this let me know and I'll send you the web site link. Good luck to all of you.

Hey that would be an interesting subject. I am also in the midst of my autobiography yet I am probably going to make it to where others can add their stories too. I read a book called Tears of Hope which is also about someones life. Depending on the life you had I am sure that you could put together a pretty good book. I think life experiences are better than none. If you need help let me know.

I'm currently writing a book, but it's fiction. It's mainly horror. The problem I'm having is that I've go major league writers block! I've been stuck on this chapter for about a month and can't seem to get passed it! It's so frustrating.
