Reducing Drug Use and Crimes Committed

"We have told kids to 'just say no' to drugs and crime, but we have not provided them with anything to say 'yes' to." What are your thoughts on keeping kids from drugs and crime? What do you think would work? What isn't working? All opinions welcome!

I think that there need to be more things to occupy people's times. More attractive alternatives. And the DARE program sucks. It does nothing, really.
