I love this movie. Many elements in the movie actually happens around you everyday.

It's a great movie. I love the voice-over narration in the beginning and end. It also has a lot of really great lines that are utterly honest. It was a brilliant look at what often happens behind closed doors in surburbia. Great acting performances and great script. I have watched this one a few times!

I really enjoyed this film. The best characters for me were the boy next door who had a weird relationship with his father and of course Spacey's and Bennings characters. It was unusual and depicted how life in surburbia is not what it always seems. The ending was very sad and I was angry that this man had finally taken control of his life and it was taken away from him. I cannot stand predictable films that have a mushy ending. I always prefer ones that leave me slightly disturbed or make me think about things. This is a great films that explores human relationships and how each of us can be affected differently when growing up withinin the same family.

American Beauty is one of the best movie I have ever seen, I loved the character Kevin Spacey played. After seeing the movie I did fell this was the best movie to get the Oscars ...
