Louis L'Amour Clive Cussler Stephen King In that order...Love the way L'Amour can make a setting come to life... Cussler hit a home run with Dirk Pitt...He is the perfect hero for any book :) The Stand is a good enough reason for him being 3rd...

My 3 favorite writers would be: Mary Higgins Clark (Own everyone of her books) VC Andrews John Grisham Why? Because they are great writers and really know how to draw you into the book and make you feel like you are the main character of the book.

I cannot really say who my favourite writers are. I have so many. I can tell you whose books I have read the most. First comes Ed McBain with 42 books. Andrew M. Greeley and Catherine Cookson tie at 24 and Lawrence Sanders with 16 (Sue Grafton is close behind with 15). I have books on hand from all of these writers (except I think Ed McBain) that I have yet to read so when I do get around to it their numbers will rise. Ed McBain has written over 142 novels & short story collections under the names of Ed McBain, Evan Hunter, Ezra Hannon, Richard Marsten, Curt Cannon, Hunt Collins and JOhn Abbott. Most of the books I have read are the Ed McBain 97th Precinct novels. I don't know whether I'll be able to read all his books before I die. LOL!
