You're NEVER TOO OLD to fly a kite! I got a really cool one several years ago at the age of 50! I think the trick is to get one that's a "hydrofoil" style. Maybe that's the wrong name, but the diamond shaped kites can be hard to get aloft. A "hydrofoil" or pocketed style will generally lift in a very light breeze -- no running needed. Kite flying is so uplifting, it can take all your cares away! Try it! You'll be hooked!

oh. not just played by boys. when i was still in elementary, my classmates and i are fond of flying kites right before heading home. but we don't usually have those colorful flights. we just have kites made of sticks, papers and cellophanes. it's easy to make actually. and after doing so, we fly our kites. it was so much fun! believe me. go and try it yourself austere! anne

I love kites and I love to fly kites when I was a kid. And no, they're not for boys only. I am a girl and I used to fly kites with my younger siblings when I was a kid. Boys or girls can enjoy flying them. I did, and it made no difference that I am a girl. The kites I used to play with were homemade - we made them ourselves, from plastic bags and atrings, and twigs, and it was so much fun!

I have flied kites in my young age. It was very wonderful. Some colors are very attractive whey they fly high. It will be like we flying in the sky. It is not only meant for boys, girls can also fly kites. There is no age for flying kite. We can fly at any age and experience the happiness due to it

I have flown a kite. We used to when we were younger and I've done it before with my kids. It is really neat to watch them soar up in the air. You should try it, if you get a good wind its really easy.

Of course I've done it when I was a kid. It's fun to do it. More like fishing. Once you get it up in the air you feel great satisfaction. I use to fly kite in the morning and get back at it in the afternoon. Honestly I missed it. It's really quite an accomplishment, specially if you made the kite yourself.

kites. - In india thousandds of kite are flown in season called basant. People from all religion tend to fly kites as it brings happiness they say.
I love to fly kites. There is a festival in India konwn as basant panchmi which is a festival to fly kites. In India and china kids are very fond of flying kites. Kites are very cheap also at our place. We can see thousands of kites during this festival in sky. They have special light kites to fly at night. I have got a good joke to share with you too regarding same topic kite. A husband in his back yard is trying to fly a kite. He throws the kite up in the air, the wind catches it for a few seconds, then it comes crashing back down to earth. He tries this a few more times with no success. All the while, his wife is watching from the kitchen window, muttering to herself how men need to be told how to do everything. She opens the window and yells to her husband, "You need a piece of tail."The man turns with a confused look on his face and says, "Make up your mind. Last night, you told me to go fly a kite."

Yes I have tried flying a kita when I was a little boy. It was a very nice feeling when I saw my kite flying so high. I remembered when I said to myself "I am really good now . I know how to make a kite. I'll make lots of it then I'll sell it to earn money. And then I'll ice cream, chocolate " LOL

I tried a couple times when I was very young, I wasnt really tall enough nor did I like to run,lol so it only got off the ground maybe twice. It was a neat kite though it had a skydiver picture on it, so when you looked up at it, it looked like a guy jumping down from the sky.Neat question!

Yep, I once made and fly a kite when i was young. My cousins and I made and played with it. We used palm stick as the bone and colored japanese paper or cellophane. We fly it in the beaches where we usualy play with the hermit crambs and sand castle. I was a lot of fun. Now, young kids do not have much fun under the sun. They prefer to play inside the house in their computer or play station.

I can fly a kite. You just have to make sure the wind is blowing the direction you are trying to fly it.

When I was kid... hahaha, I really love it until now but I don't have time and I think I am not in my age of flying kites. You should consider how kites are made. There are step by steps procedure on making kites and there are techniques so that they fly.
