Just ignore ignorant people that tell you that kind of nonsense. There's nothing about computers that's either male or female. If you're good at something and you enjoy it, go for it. You may have to work harder to overcome some prejudice in the job market, but people are gradually getting used to women in fields that were considered (for no good reason) only for men.

If you are good it doesn't matter if you are a girl or a boy . Don't pay attention to all the stereotypes. You are individual , good luck. Show them how wrong they are.

Nowadays, Man and woman are equal in every aspect of life. No differences of gender can hinder women in participate in work previously considered for men only.^^ Dont worry about it. Everything you need to do your work is enthusiasm and favoritism.

I am sorry that you think so,but not so bad. Frankly speaking,it is not so fit for a girl to study computer technology as major, especially in China. I am also a college student from China, and my majority is computer technology. To some extent,I know something true in china. It is hard for a girl who study computer technology to find a good job in China, though you are better than others. It is the hard to change the situation in short time. So I suggest you to stay at school and try to be a teacher of your school. For you,it is quite good to be a teacher of computer science. It is easier for a girl to be a teacher in college school comparing other jobs. I guess you are going to graduate soon,it is quite important to make the decision as soon as possible, that you will have more time to prepare for it. Good luck to you!

Who said so? Just ignore them, "sour grapes." Our IT specialist in the office is a female and a computer graduate. It doesn't matter whether you're a girl or a boy taking up this course, what matter the most is your ability to excel on your chosen career. There is no study proving that computer science isn't fit for girls. So I think just continue and strive hard to make your dreams happen. Don't let ignorance of other people to stop you.

Doing computer has completely nothing to do with gender-it is a mindset of the past to try to link any profession with gender-we are in the 21st centuary pingluck and dont let anybody play with what you have chosen as a career line! Stick firm to it and dont be moved-A few weeks ago I went to a hospital and i saw a man whose testacles had been disected upon by a female Doctor-it was done so well and professionally that the patient now believes women are better doctors! A woman can do anything-ofcourse there are certain things a woman cant do, but let us also agree, there are certain things a man cant do and that doesnt take away his manhood! Again i say, dont be discouraged!

lol. a lot of girls out there are IT graduates, and they have no problem getting a job, be it in the IT industry or not. there are many jobs for an IT graduate..if you are proficient in programming and have some technical skills, that could be an advantage. good luck! :)

Don't worry about other people's opinion the most important thing is is that you're happy in what you are doing and enjoy it.
