Any danger of frost in your local. What vegetables have you planted so far and will you add to this later? Perineal or anual plants?

They say the last frost date for my area is may 15th. I did put out my potatoes in march as I have always done but then we had 5 days of really cold weather, the temperature never got above 30 degrees. It set back all my flowering trees and killed my potatoes.I do have my tomatoes and peppers all ready started in the house and can't wait to get out side to put them in. I also just started my cucumbers in the house they will be ready to go out in the next week or so. I am also going to plant onions red and white. Gonna try some garlic this year too. did peas and green beans last year they did not produce enough to try again. So my little garden will have peppers,(green, bananna, and jalapeno) I will have cherry and beef steak tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and garlic. Oh I also have strawberries. As for annual or prennial I guess I might be a bit lazy I prefer prennials myself.

Many people said that I too shouldn't plant until after Mothers Day because of possible frost. I hope they are wrong because my corn is up and even though I will plant more.......I want to have a head start on the first harvest. Your garden sounds so yummy that I can taste it already! I will plant tomatoes in about a week along with bannana squash, acorn squash, cucumbers. I already have cabbage in. Garlic and multiplier onions are in all the time, along with rhubarb.:)xo

I've always dreamed of planting a garden. It is the most healthy way to go. Pesticides would not be an issue

I agree on the pestisides. I have chickens that I let roam in the yard and they do a pretty fair job of keeping out the bugs! I live a distance from town, so it is most convienent and economical for me to have a garden. xo:)

I think we're past the point of a frost, so I'll put mine out about the beginning of May. I generally plant tomatoes, bell peppers, cayenne peppers, cucumbers, banana peppers and green beans. I may add some carrots to the mix this year.

I "thought" spring was here so I planted some spinach seeds. Then we got a foot of snow. That melted quickly, however the spinach seemed to survive. I have also planted some sugar snap peas and bought a pyramid trellis for them to climb on. When they are finished I plant morning glories on the trellis.
