Do You Wear Glasses?

I got my glasses when I was 4. I spent the first 4 years not being able to see. LOL I am far sighted. I'm so blind that I cant even get the lasic surgery. Maybe one day they will improve and I can get it done. My glasses are just so heavy I look like a nerd! Oh well I did wear contacts but they were hard and a bit painful to wear! After kids I gave it up!

I used to wear glasses since I was in my highschool days but I don't like wearing it everytime. Sometimes I really don't like it to wear. I wear it coz I have a stigmatism and my left eye has a igher grade than my right. Sometimes I wear contact lenses when I'm in my job coz I used to each dances and it is not appropiate for me to wear glasses while dancing. But now since I used to be in my computer always I never take it off.

I wear both contacts and glasses but mostly contacts. I have needed glasses since I was seven. I am both nearsighted and farsighted. I was happy to be able to waer contacts.

Today I got my new glasses!My eye-sight is very bad,so I cannot do anything without glasses,actually it is so unconvenient to wear glasses,I have woren them for 14 years.

Neither but I think I need to , and am going to a lazer clinic for tests on the 16th May. That is a milestone for me because i have a phobia about Opticians, YES I know it sounds pathetic and stupid but it is a fact ... But i always wear my sunglasses on my head ...lol augusta

You have mirrored me exactly.I do all the same habits of wearing glasses as you do.It was if I had wrote this comment on glasses.I too can not think of the idea of sticking my fingers in my eyes to place or remove contacts.I do not like to wear glasses,it's a vanity thing.I really hate wearing them in bed to view the TV as I have fallen asleep with them still on my face and either have damaged them or left a painful but temporary indentation. I'm too afraid of eye surgery and if I did get the courage up I would only get one at a time done just in case the doc botches it up.

I started wearing glasses since 5th grade. Since then my eyesight have been getting weaker. Like you, I'm also nearsighted but I don't need reading glasses though. My left eye is 7.50 (750)grade and my right is 8.00(800). Maybe your eye sight aren't that weak to not be able to wear your glasses all the time. I wear glasses and contact lenses alternating depending on my mood. I like the convenience of wearing contacts like for example when I go to the gym, it doesn't get in the way or gets wet from my sweat. When I feel that my eyes are not doing well with contacts anymore, I switch to wearing glasses. I also like wearing glasses especially now that glasses are becoming more fashionable.

No I don't wear glasses but I do wear reading glasses since my eyes has gone bad.

I have been wearing glasses to read for the past couple of years. I probably should have gotten them a lot sooner. I didn't realize how bad my eyes had gotten until I got the glasses. I don't really have trouble see the computer screen though. When I went and got my glasses they tried to talk me into getting another pair for computer work (my job requires me to spend 7.5 hours a day on the computer, ant then whatever I do at home). The one pair that I did get were free, the other pair they tried talking me into were going to cost me $50 because they had some special lens. This year I go for another eye exam so hopefully my eyes didn't get any worse so that I have two pairs (one for home and one for work) because I always forget them somewhere and then need them. Like today, I needed my glasses because some paperwork that I was trying to fill out was typed to small. Of course my glasses are at home. LOL Have a beautiful day all! :) mahmah

Hello,wachit14,I have short sight and astigmatism, i seldom wear glasses and i do not have contact lens,i think i may be too lazy to wear or wash the contact lens everyday. I may wear my glasses at home when i am really tired,usually I will be fine without the glasses.

I'm not using eye glasses.. and I don't want to.. and I'm afraid to have a blurry eye sight.. that's why I'm trying not to wash my face near after any activities to prevent that blurry eye sight.

I wear contacts during the day and my glasses at night. I know it's wierd but I will only wear them at home.

hai wachit14 how are you,good evening from India,i am srinu regarding your topic i fist got my site when i am in engineering first year that is nearly around 19-20 years of age,i never observe that problem when i sit in front benches,when i sit in my last bench i unable to read the words on black board due to lack of sight but i neglected initially,but when i draw my engineering drawing with 3mm dots on full charts for whole alpha bets i feel sever pain then i gone for doctor they ask me to wear glasses,from that day till date i wear glasses what ever may be the situation for seeing movies,reading books,and i love glasses with ACR glass which protect our eyes 24 hours ,only i remove when i sleep,i too love glasses only ,no contact lenses ,but i like every 6 months check up to my eyes ,now my sight is -2.5,i regularly eat a vitamin foods for the caring of eyes

My eyes are OK now,so i needn't these.

Yes I am an eyeglass wearer as well. I too never got contacts for the very came reason. Not to mention that I never liked to try and help someone helpfind one that fell out. I am far sighted and have been wearing glasses since I was about 6 years old. To tell you the truth I don't even notice anymore really unless I don't have them on and can't see.

I wear glasses since I was 12 years old. I can't imagine me without glasses now. I tried contact lenses but at that time I didn't get used to them, so I was back to my glasses and now I don't even want to change.

Yes, I do wear glasses and I like it. I like to see good and I also like my looks with glasses. I have never tried contact lenses because all the people who wear them always seem to complain: I have lost a lense! Then I smile and I am very happy with my eye-glasses.
