Do you believe in ghosts/spirits? Have you ever seen one? What makes you believe or disbelieve in them?

I personally do not believe in them, I think that as long as something is not scientifically proven to exist or I haven't seen a single viable story of their existence I go for the option of it simply not being there.

Of course you don't believe if you've never seen one. I would have a hard time believing too, but I've seen one before and I nearly s--- myself.

jessy is on the right track by admitting the obvious, "if you don't see something it is very difficult to believe in its existence", well there is more than that. Unfortunately many people look to empiricism (scientific proof through evaluation, measurement, documentation, even hypnosis of people who claim such sightings)to help convince them of either the presence or absence of 'spirits' in this living physical world. Why? Because of fear of something they are generally unsure about especially if religious indoctrination, social influence and cultural demand explicitly avoids all creedence to this possible manifestation. It is so sad that only a 'handful' of truly intuitive people can help teach the rest of us that we have the power to communicate with that which does not seek us, but we them . . . I am grateful I have been surrounded most of my life by those that channel the higher intellectual skills of understanding that which is generally unprovable by even modern technology. It is more advanced than we are willing to accept or use the higher intellect to comprehend, step away from human fear and you can transcend.

Spirit-sensing or 'ghost-hunting' appeals to my sixth and seventh sense recently tuned more effectively for channeling the communicative effort between those that have passed and those that are still physically present. I thoroughly enjoy investigating the paranormal or strange and unusual places planet earth has to offer the inquisitive one. What is the link to your articles about paranormal research? I am interested, as is jessyblue, a good friend of mine. We both share experiences of the paranormal dimension; however hers have ceased, for now, while mine have gotten more clear when I turned 40 and lots of stress was affecting my sleep patterns, or lack there of and communication through meditation with my brother who left this physical plane in 2000, has very profound. Would you know why? I feel it has something to do with endocrine, metabolic, and emotional systems not being in syncronization with one another. Is this possibly correct ?

I really don't know whether or not I believe. Sometimes I think I do, and other times I'm not so sure. What makes me believe is that sometimes there are things that happen that are just too weird to expain, and what makes me disbelieve is that it seems to unreal. Like magic, something that just isn't possible. I've been back and forth with this many times! I can't say I've ever seen one, but if I had then I would believe lol!
