Hello,archer1811,I think you have to be patient as you are just getting started,I think you should start quality discussions and reply with quality at the same time,in replying to more discussions,you will have more friends,if your discussions are good,hopefully,they will reply you back although there is no oligation for them to reply to you,that is why you also need to have a good discussions to pique people's interests.I think it may not be wise to start too many discussions in one day as it may be quite hard for their friends to follow them. I think it does help if you have more friends because the more you have the more apt people are to respond. I mostly respond to people on my friends list until I can't find any interesting topics then I go to the new users discussions or the discussions with no replies.

It will be better for you to go around and make friends with the members here. Make yourself known by responding to their discussions first. Make sure to give a well thought response so you can leave a good impression for the poster to be familiar about you. When I was still a newbie, I rarely post discussions too. I will make my rounds of checking and responding to a lot of discussions. But I rarely requested for friendships. Think of some suitable discussions that you know most mylotters will benefit. A general one, something that happened everyday. Don't rush yourself. Eventually, you will learn your way here. Good luck, archer.
