My daughter just got her permit and I am afraid! I hate the idea of her driving. Is anyone else worried about this? I feel like so much could happen! I know she has to grow up but I wish it wasn't happening so quickly....

My mom's the complete opposite. She tells us to get a license once we turned 18. That's the legal age to drive in my country. My mom was sick of driving us around so the minute we turned 18, it was off to the diving school. It may ease your fear if you were to ask her to drive you around to places you need to go. You can watch her drive and reassure yourself. Just let her drive and check out her driving habbits. You won't be worried anymore if you find out that she drives safely. Now if she were to drive rather recklessly, talk to her about it and keep getting her to drive you around. Usually the recklessness tend to wear itself out if they drive a lot (they are not as enthusiastic about driving as there were in the begining).

Luckily she can't drive alone until she gets her license so I will have plenty of time to observe her driving, as I bite my nails and hang on to the seat...
