What is life?

If it occurs to me that everyday I live to earn in order to survive the next day, I would feel life is of no meaning at all. I always make myself believe that I live for the sake of making people I love live a better life and this thinking makes me feel myself more useful. However, when I give it a deeper thinking, I still find the essence of life is to enable oneself to survive this world. Do you agree?
