Have you ever converted from one religion to another? What was it like? What caused you to change religions? Was it easy or hard to do? What was involved in the conversion process? Want to talk about it? Let's discuss it freely, respectfully, and with an open mind here!

I converted from Christianity to Paganism. It was like finally finding myself. I never connected with Christianity, nothing about it felt right or true. There wasn't any real conversion process, it is different for everyone. Not like with some religions where you have to do a certain ritual or ceremony.

I am just curious. May I ask, what branch of Christianity did you come out of, and what branch of Paganism have you joined? I ask because there are so many types, and I am studying world religions on my own. Was there ever any pressure to convert or not to convert, at all? Or, was the whole process very simple and smooth?

I was a Southern Baptist, I converted to a rather eclectic Pagan with some Celtic leanings. Though recently I have been very drawn towards the Sumerian faith. There was no pressure at all to convert, in fact I did not even know another Pagan for years. Outwardly it was a very simple convertion, I simply said that I concidered myself to be Pagan. Inside there was some inner turmoil, but nothing serious.

I haven't ever converted from my religion because I found that God always love me although I make many mistake. I think it was hard action if you think that religion are the most important in your life. My faith related in my life. In my religion, I find that God touch me in real life with my own language. So, before convert religion to another, I suggest to make a question, do we really knew God as God who close to you? Or, Do we just really love God if God give us grace? So, in conversion process we must involve our depth faith, God in your mind. And, ask to ourselves how much do we love our religion? What have we done in our religion and how we life in the community in our religion? thanks.

I was born on catholic family. Till now, I am catholic and I think I don't want to convert my religion. I love Jesus very much. I feel His love make me grow up more and more. And I have a community in my religion. And I can feel His love in that community. And you?
