What Songs Do You Hate--You Just Can't Stand to Hear Them?

A lot of people have discussions about music or songs they love...ah,...but how about other side of it...what songs annoy you, or that you just plain hate to listen to, and if it comes up on the radio, you make a mad dash to turn it off. I'm sorry--I know this is a very popular song, the singer is popular and a lot of people love him...me...no sir re...I want to gag with a spoon when I hear it--what song do I talk about?? heheh---James Blunt - You're Beautiful -- that has to be the most annoying song for me...the guy sounds so wimpy...Lets put it this way...if the love of my life wanted to show his undying love for me and wanted to sing a love song to me, and he picked that one...I'd seriously wonder about him!! WARNING: Now no heated debates here, no bashing please....maybe the song you hate is one that someone else loves and vice versa So let's have a nice civil discussion here -- okay?

I hate the song White Wedding by David Bowie. Every time that song comes on the radio I have to change it right away. I don't know why, I just do not like that song.

There are not too many songs that bother me all that much. But there is one song that used to drive me nuts. It was done by a girl named Joan Osbourne and it was called "If God Was One Of Us". It wasn't because it was sort of religious, it was the yeah, yeah, yeahs in the chorus. The song just dragged along and seemed depressing. In case you don't remember this song, you can find the lyrics here... http://www.lyricsondemand.com/onehitwonders/ifgodwasoneofuslyrics.html

"Picture" by Sheryl Crow and someone else. UGH!! I can't stand that song! If you listen to the words you hear the line over and over again that they can't look at the other persons picture because someone else is in their bed!!! They both want to get back together, but apparently not enough to give up the person they're with now. It's just very two-faced in my opinion... It just grates on my nervers - my friends laugh at me about it.

I like this song, and it is one of my favorite's. I feel it tells a story about what we all go through in life. The up's and down's & trying to get back together. The road is always hard " when trying to ger back with someone".

Well, I'm not sure what the title are, nor who sang it. But I simply don't like heavy metal. It's more like they're screaming (screeching?) out the lyrics and all they are able to make is just one heck of a noise. I am a fan of a few rock band, but my point of view is if I'm not able to understand even the lyrics, there's no point listening to it.

Well it doesn't have to be heavy metal songs...any song where you can't understand what the person's singing can be annoying

"loving you"- minnie ripperton. i CAN'T stand that high note she hits in that song. or "you light up my life" for that matter either. they overplayed that SO much in the 70's,i still cringe when i hear it.

I agree on "Loving You" but disagree with "You Light Up My Life." Admittedly, "You Light Up My Life" was played to an extreme but I always liked the song itself. To each his or her own. One of the songs I didn't care for in the '70's was the one by Gino Vanelli (I think that's his last name). I didn't like that one from the first day - and "True" by Spandau Ballet. The group name was strange enough to begin with. Okay, I have to go read my neighbor's school paper so I'll shut up!

I not only hate their songs I also hate them. I can't stand the Dem Franchise Boyz. They think they can rap but they can't. They rhyme using the same word over and over. They're just a disgrace to music with their wack dance songs. Their song "lean with it rock with it" is so annoying!

Absolutely ANYTHING from Fall Out Boy. i REALLY hate that band. Why they are so popular is beyond me. Whenever i hear them come on the radio, i start making sounds of disgust and horror and i turn it off instantly. i just hate them that much. If i COULD, i would run screaming, but i am usually in the car when i hear them and so i don't have that option...

I actually like Fall Out Boy - I think they are creative, unique and funny. I do wish the lead singer would stop wearing that ugly hat... but they have a lot of good, danceable, singable songs.

Hello pyewacket. I can't give you any specific title or song that I detested. My ears can't stand any kind of loud music. I prefer something soft and soothing. I already have two creatures here in my house who did nothing but to yell like a tarzan the whole day, LOL!

I hate anything by the Cure. Unfortunately, my husband loves the Cure. I always say, oh there you go listening to your prissy girly-boy music again. Then he puts on Johnny Cash, who I used to like until he burnt me out on him. He is on his way to doing the same with Pink Floyd. He just plays the same thing over and over again until you get to the point where you think you seriously cannot stand to hear it one more time.

I absolutely love the Cure. They are one of my favorite bands. They can be a bit depressing - but they are really creative and use a lot of different types of instruments. Johnny Cash is one of my favorites too but I don't like his cover of Hurt. Yuck!

I love me some Johnny Cash. He did so many songs that I'm surprised you husband could burn you out on it. But then again, his style is a required taste, and can get on your nerves if played over and over again.

There is a song I use to like, but it got played so much on the radio and just about every where one would go, that I now cringe in displeasure each time Little Big Town's Boondocks comes on. Each time it comes on now I am wishing I had a pair of ear plugs nearby just so I could block the sound waves from entering my ear than my brain. Another song that all the albums should be taken out to the middle of some unpopulated desert and a few thousand bombs should be dropped on is Trace Adkins' Hanky (yes this spelling error was done on purpose the original word is a violation of MyLot's terms of use :(. Me sorry MyLot didn't know!) Tonk Badonkadonk. I swear I hear that song one more time I will scream. Really I will. Hmm, Oh! Nearly forgot I Wanna Talk About Me by Toby Keith. Now there's a song that should only be used as some form of target practice, until no copies of it remain to torment me. I could go on, but than this post would most likely turn into a book about which songs should be placed under some form of tormented torture, just because they have been used in some fashion to torture me..LOL!

Oh I agree on that Toby Keith song! I don't listen to country but they play all kinds of music at work and I hate it. There is another country song too - Honeky Tonk Badonikidonk? Something like that. Country stars should NOT try to rap!

I hate any music that is loud and used to cover up vocals. For me light music or good vocals accompanied by light music works.

Good thing you put the disclaimer - people take music personally. : ) I cannot stand 'Tainted Love'. It is used on commercials a whole lot now too. Another one I cannot stand, and it purely because of the emotion it evokes, is "Where were you when the World Stopped Turning" by Alan Jackson. I don't want to cry every time I hear it, so I turn the radio dial when I hear it. Oh, and for some reason, I cannot stand the song "My Favorite Mistake" by Sheryl Crow.

What I do love about songs are those kind of mellow and soft musics, but when it comes to songs that has some cussing and cursing on it's lyrics and lots of shouting aloud...grrr!!! I hate those kind of musics, it's like my mind blows when everytime I heard some of it around somewhere.
