Earlier I heard in the news about the audience in the recently concluded Miss Universe Pagent booing Miss USA either because she trips over or because of the new US law about immigrants. Anyway whatever it was, I think it's out of line for the audience to boo Miss USA during the competition for whatever reason. It was ungentleman and unlady like for anyone to do so in any competition (pagent or sport) specially one that concerns various nations. What do you think?

Yes, I watched Miss Universe last night and saw how she got booed. I think that was totally uncalled for. The crowd booed so loud you cannot even hear what the hosts were saying and all through her answer for the individual question. That was bad reflection on Mexico on a whole, I think. No sportsmanship at all. I feel like regardless of their own personal beliefs and how good or how bad the contestant is doing, they should still be supported regardless because they have come this far and have worked so hard to get there. I think they at least deserved that.

Yes it was really rude of the audience to treat Miss USA like that. It was supposed to be a competition to promote goodwill between nations.

yup, I too dont think it was right to boo her...........there were many articles i read in international tabloids, that the best way for the world to show their solidarity for anti-US support towards Iraq, Gulf, immigrants was to boo the participants at all major global events.................not a good thought, I believe.

That can't be good. It isn't right to harass any country's participant if you don't agree with the country's principles. There are other much more efficient ways.

I would bet the booing was because of the immigration reforms that George W. Bush is pushing. Too bad, that Miss America was booed because of that. The crowd were expressing their sentiment and they thought that it would be a good time to show their disagreement to this stricter immigration reforms. I'm happy for Miss America, though, for ending up as one of the winners!

Well after seeing how well and graceful she handled herself after falling I agree she deserves to be one of the winners. About the immigration law, well it's their country so whatever law they want to pass is up to them.
