Hi Guys,.... I need Help .... I am using windows for many years...i want to migrate to linux.... i use visual basic and microsoft access for my studies and software project ...and also adobe products like flash....so i wanna use microsoft office and visual studio in linux ...i heard this is possible by virtualization...please tell me how to run these applications in linux without installing windows..... please help.... i like linux coz ..its very fast ....less resource hogger....and secured most of all...so linux lovers...please guide this newbie....i know a lil bit of linux ...using linux is not problem....only this shifting of application

Depending on your machine specs etc it might also be worth running a Windows installation inside VMWare. Of course, your linux os wouldn't have direct access to whatever is happening in windows, but you can easily copy/paste between the two. If you just want to be able to use MS Office, then it is probably quite suitable. Either that or start using free alternatives such as OpenOffice.

oh thats really nice....how can u copy paste inside windows and linux ...... i mean if i am running linux and inside a virtual machine i run windows then what should i do to copy and paste files between these two....???please explain .. Thanks a lot

It's no different than normal copying and pasting. Just Ctrl+C in the virtual machine to copy something and then Ctrl+V outside the VM to paste (or vise-versa).
