Its so hot over here in Jaipur and nearby places. The temperature is above 40 degree. The heat is scrotching and unbearable. Its becoming hard to move out of house. Still a month is left for this heat to go. How to combat it? Can anyone suggest? Please give some worth ideas.

I also live in city in India and it is summers so it is going to be hot. Though weather gods have been kind this year with drizzles to cool down temp. few times. I feel one should drink plenty of fluids like lassi or sharbat, take bath more than once, stay at home or in air conditiond room and wear cotton and comfortable clothing. And eat seasonal fruits too. Cheers:)

i belong to nagpur in india, which too is quite a hot place during summers. The temperatures here hover around 45-46 degrees during summer. There are some precautions that you must take while venturing out of the house during summers. 1. Wear loose cotton clothes. 2. Drink lots of water, as much as you can. This will prevent you from getting dehydrated. 3. Cover your face with a piece of cotton cloth, leaving only eyes open. 4. Wear cotton gloves so that you do not end up burning your skin, if you are driving a two-wheeler.

Hmmmm, we face the same problem here too. The weather is just too hot. So when that's too often and I'm at home, I have no choice but to turn the air conditioner on. I'd also treat myself to a really nice ice cold drink. Such as watermelon juice. Otherwise, I might also go swimming to cool down. At times, we may also head to ths shopping malls to enjoy the nice cool air conditioned air.

Aircondition and swimming are not an option for most in India because there are no pool in the homes or nearby and the electricity is a major problem in most parts of India especially in small cities.

i saw it in the news, the better way is to have bath 3 times a day (i hope there is no shortage of water there)wash your head only for 2 min at any time during the day.this will help also add more salads in your diet, eat cucumber, tomatoes, carrots raw .have louki (ashgourd juice)in the morning 6.30 take any food one hour after that.have fruits at night this will surely help to reduce the heat in side u. one more thing that our left nostril represents moon and our right nostril represents sun .And i learned that if one want to cool our body it can be done by breathing through left nostril ,taking deep breaths through left nostril ,closing the right nostril at that time.i dont know it will be effective or not ,i havetn tried it in my life.i think it will be better to have a search in net and learn more and do more.left nostril is called ida nadi and right nostril is called pingala it reresents sun. sitting in side a fridge may help(joking)

same with the temperature here in the Philippines. It's really hot in here when i get into my office. So, it is best to turn on your airconditioner at home and of course in the office. Or you can also go on beahin or on some cool resorts nearby you. If we could start planting trees right now, we could have at least a shade for tomorrow to protect us from the heat of the sun.
