Back from Granddaughter's Wedding

Our trip to the Atlanta, GA area for our oldest granddaughter's wedding was full of fun, laughs, and a great time for all. Of course I cried when I saw the bride walking down the aisle with her dad (my son). Even the minister got choked up when talking about the couple he was marrying. He said that the first time he met her, she was helping to build homes for the homeless in Mexico along with her dad and other members of their church. They are now members of his church and have been for several years. He was also very impressed with the groom and his devotion to his church and to his family and to my granddaughter. That brought more tears, even if they were happy tears. At the end of the ceremony when the wedding party was going back down the aisle, each couple did a little dance or something special to the song "Celebrate Good Times". One of the bridesmaids was escorted by the groom's younger brother (11 or 12), and she took off her shoes, picked him up and carried him down the aisle. That brought smiles to our faces. It was a very cute ending to a very beautiful wedding. Any other cute stories about weddings out there?

Hello claudia413 Congratulation for your granddaughter's wedding. I always like wedding, we can meet the whole big family member, laugh and have fun together. We always talk about our funny story in the past. Really so much fun with that. I remember when my closest cousin get married and she dance when she want to make a wedding kiss, all of us ( all my big family) hoping that she will not falling down, because she always falling down all the time LOL. And when she dance very beautifully and everything is fine, we can give a big smile LOL Wedding is a beautiful moment God bless you *angel www.beautycosmetictips.com

me, my son and grandsons - This picture was taken shortly before the wedding ceremony. Don't the boys look cute in their suits? Boy, they couldn't wait to get them off afterwards.
Dee, I agree with you. The whole trip was great and lots of fun, but it sure was nice to be back home in my own bed after 9 days on the road. My granddaughter and her new hubby are two great young people who care about friends and family. They both have younger siblings and love to include them in their activities. Here's a pictue of my two grandsons (ages 7 and 9) with their father and me. (Turn your heads to the left since I don't know how to turn the picture)

I usually get misty eyed at one point or another in any wedding. I have one sister. She is 4 and a half years younger than I am. When I saw her coming down the aisle I didn't just weep a little. I bawled uncontrollably. She was BEAUTIFUL. That was in 1989 and she is still happily married with three wonderful kids. I love weddings.

It sounds like you're as emotional as I am. I get teary-eyed at anyone's wedding (even on TV), but I can bawl with the best of them when it's a relative.

Me, my son and the bride - I'm on the left, in case you can't tell. That's my son in the middle, and his daughter on the right.
Hush your mouth...LOL. I'm very happy for them, and I will be even happier to wait a few years to become a great-grandmother... Here's a picture of me, my son and my granddaughter.

Picture taken at wedding - My sister took this picture of me, my granddaughter and my son. Her picture turned out so much clearer than mine did.
Here's a better picture of me, my granddaughter and my son. It's better because my sister took it.
