Do you feed your dog/s bits from your meal?

My two dogs really want the things I eat like pasta, popcorn and crisps. Luckily they do not like salad and fruit. One of them can be sick but the other one is fine whatever she eats. Do you give you dog or dogs food from the plate you are eating from? Why or why not?

Yes, I do give my dog foods from the plate where I'm eating. It shows my care for them. It is like sharing your food with your friend. After all dogs are known to be man's best friend. what do ya think?

Yes, a dog is a man's best friend. My dog Secret can be sick sometimes. But my other dog Magic is fine eating most things.

We don't feed our dog from our plate. If we do give her any type of people food it is given in her bowl. Our dog is the last one to eat every meal. Dogs are naturally pack animals and by making her last for everything, it shows her that she is not the leader of the pack. It works out great, she doesn't beg when we eat and she listens really well.

I am a real softie and I do, although strict training does state that one should not under any circumstances. The dog has his/her dish/bed/area and does not stray into the human arena. However, when I have a dog i have this dog for company so yes, I do tend to give scraps. However, I also tend to give smaller doggie meals to compensate for any extra calories which may be coming through from the scraps.

My dogs always get the leftovers, they love the vegetables. They very rarely get tinned dog food, maybe one in 3 months because there is no leftovers. I never give them the obvious nasties like chocolate, onions and spices. The vet says that they are the healthiest looking dogs that he has seen.

our cats and dogs get to eat our leftovers. we usually do not have much left after a meal, but we share with them. they mostly eat thier own food, but we see no use in wasting the food we are not going to eat. one of he dogs is so spoiled that he usually gets bits of the meal while we are eating, he will eat anything i will, he is a rotten little thing, but we love him.

Personally I own an 80lb pit bull- and she loves to eat EVERYTHING I am eating. At first I thought it might be bad for her- so I kept it to a minimum- but after doing some research on this particular breed- I found that they love all food- and mostly all food is okay and won't harm them- my dog even loves ice cream :)

I usually scrape our plates to the poultry. Raw meats I will often times give to the dogs and cat as a treat - but not from our plates (heh, don't generally have raw meat on our plates) if I do give them food off our plate it goes into their bowl. When I trim fats from meat it goes to the outside dog, I don't want the inside dogs to get diarrhea. our dogs love lettuce and carrots so they get those as I make a salad. one of them likes apples and grapes.

I dont own a dog anymore. But I have one two years back. I loved my dog and I would buy dog foods for him. It is expensive but I wanted the best food for him. Whenever my dog got sick or needed a check up, I would just call the veterinary to come to my house.
