How can I improve how much I'm earning here? Like, I've posted over 150 times and only have made ninty cents. Is there a way to earn more from posting? Do referrals make your cents-per-post go up?

You earn 25% of what your referrals earn. And as for more money you really have to go for quality which quite often means quantity too. You nede to be as detailed and as clear in your answers too and probably using more keywords per discussion helps as well so that your info comes up when people are doing searches. Have a read of the myLot guidelines and stuff and just famaliarise your self with them cos you may be violating some of them which is limiting your earnigns with out even realising. What I find helps as well is to forget about the earnings cos as soon as you start enjoying yourself here and getting into it then your earnings move up fast. Don't get downhearted cos you really do need to work hard here to make alot. Just enjoy yourself.

Thank you. I appreciate your post. I haven't referred anyone yet, which may be limiting my making on that front, but I guess I just figured that making posts might earn a *little* bit of money. I didn't think I'd be spending hours a day on here just to make ninety sense of three days. I've already read the MyLot guidelines, as many as there are. I have most of them, if not all, memorized. Most of it really is a bunch of "common sense", though. Sadly, a majority of the people using the internet seem to lack that quality. I've started to forget about the earnings a little bit, but it's still very disheartening to see that you've only made ninety sense after posting for quite a few days.

Well just to put into perspective about your referrals. Your one has only earn about 25cents from having brought you hear so if you bring anyone here and hope to get rich off it then they will have to be here forever. Good thing is though if you get hold of someone who catches the bug but I have 5 referrers and between them I have made a grand total of one cent! Not very good!

So I take it that on myLot referrals aren't really the way to go, huh? I suppose that makes sense. Even at twenty-five percent, money made here is very little, so twenty-five percent of their earnings wouldn't get you very far. But still, twenty-five percent is better than nothing. I'm going to try and make more quality, longer posts from now on. It's just that I really don't find anything around here to make long posts about. If it's giving advice, I can talk for hours. But when it has to do with shorts answers like the majority of this site is, I really don't do very well.

I looked at your profile and at what you have posted. I've noticed that everything is very short, about two lines or just two sentances. In order to get more money per post, try and write more quality response. Some say you need to write at least four lines in order to get decent pay. Referrals don't make your cents per post increase, you just earn money off of what they make. But try writing better posts for awhile and see if that helps.

I totally understand that so many of the discussions don't require that you write a long answer. Some of those I just stay away from. Other times I just bable the best I can. LOL

For most of what I post, yes, I'll admit it's semi-short. I guess this is caused by the fact that many of the posts really don't require a long answer. When it comes to giving advice, I can continue to talk and talk for the longest time, but when it comes to giving an answer to a semi-basic question, I really don't like to go farther than what is really needed. I've been trying to increase my words per post, so we'll see if that increases my earnings. Either way, I enjoy posting here, so I guess it really isn't that big of a deal. It's just disheartening to see that I'm barely making any money for three days of posting.

You just have good post and you can also earn from your referals for you get 25 percent of what they can get. Make sure that you abide with mylot rules and regulations.

I've been very careful, lately, to abide by the myLot rules and regulations. I don't want my posts to get deleted so I'm very careful to follow the rules. Also, I've been trying to increase the words I say in my posts to a more reasonable amount lately. I'm also trying to get some of my friends to join under referrals. I'm hoping it will help me pick up some extra money in the long run. Not a massive amount of money just because of the fact that it's still only cents we're dealing with, but still...

yes active referrals can really help you earn more in mylot. you can upload photos to further increase your revenue. Make long quality posts, you get better paid for them. Avoid one line or one word response or discussions. Also always use tags.I think using tags really help. Make at least 50good posts a day so you have about 1 dollar day.

Dear forsakemysoul Well write as much as you can.. I am really surprised to know that you posted over 150 times and got only ninety cents. Ninety cents are so less for such great hard work .... Atleast write -- 6 lines each in the discussion. Be descriptive as it is already mentioned when you respond to a discussion -- it says -- Please be as descriptive as possible. ... Whatever you write .. make sure it has quality inside your discussion :) .. This is all what I can say u should do here on mylot to earn more. My referrals did not earned me one single dollar .. just a few cents ..

I'm trying more to write more on my posts. I'm thinking that's the reason that I've only made ninety cents so far. I'm hoping that, with posts, I'll start to make more money. I try to be descriptive, but I've never really been a person to continue talking when I don't have anything to say. I've always been one of those people that just gets straight to the point when I have something to say. I just don't beat around the bush is all. It's a little bit harder for me to be able to continue writing past the point where I think I got the "point" across. I'll try to post more quality posts from now on. Thank you for your suggestions! :)
