Sammie is 10 years old she has out lived one dog and one cat. She has moved once with us and lived through it. She helped me raise my children. Now she makes sure Petie and Abigail mind their P's and Q's. She sleeps at the head of the bed betweem my husband and I. Sometimes she loves Abigail and sometimes she cannot stand her. Oh well Sammie is allowed. They say cats age 6 years per every 1 of ours so she is an old lady.

At 3:00 a.m, you are very patient indeed. If a cat woke me up at three in the morning, it would be homeless by 3:01 a.m. That is love, I don't know that I could find that much patience for a cat.

I feed them Science Diet Lowfat/hairball type. They have food in front of them all the time. I did have them on a diet, but they kept waking me up at 3am for breakfast. Now it is 5am, I can sleep in for a few hours.

Well, its not quite 6 years. The first 6 months get them to puberty, in the first 2 years is like they are 20. After that it slows way down. I have 3 10 yr old cats. One looks older - and since we really don't know too much about his background, he might be a bit older. One acts like he's a lot younger & the 3rd, who was adopted at the same time as the first, at least acts like he could be 10. It is only the second one that I know for sure is 10 - or he will be toward the end of August. I have a cat that is supposed to be about 16 yrs old. She has always been grumpy & never cared for the other cats, but in some ways she doesn't look as old at one we know is 13. Not to say that she doesn't look like she's getting on in years, just she still looks pretty good.

In June my sisters and I went to see some friends that I have not seen since we here in third grade. They have 10 cats in the house. You would not tell there was a cat box in the house. No smells. One cat was 20 years old. She looked old, they say she is like a person you talk about and say "The lights are on but no one is home" That cat had like a blank stare to her. They say she was like that always even when she was young. I thought it was demencia but they say no she has been like this always.

Pyewacket is the boss of the family because she has her crystal ball. Anyone who knows how to use a crystal ball is deffienctaly the ball of the family in my book. hahaha
