Bestfriends but different interests?

It is totally possible. I have 2 bestfriends have diffrent iterests than I do and yet we have a few things in common which makes our friendship refreshing. We try to look at this from there point of vie to see if maybe we would like it, if not it is fine at least we tried that is all that matters.

if you differ in interests how do you spend time together? I bet there are instances when you want to share your interests with your bestfriends yet you can't because they won't fit in?

It has nothing to do with fitting in. The fact that they are willing to learn about something you enjoy is a great thing. They could come to enjoy it too and want to do it with you more often.
My bestfriends and I have completely diffrent religis beliefs yet we respect eachother and when the subject comes up we dont bash eachother we explain ourselvs and some times we agree and others we dont it is not a big deal.

I'm glad you and your bestfriend are open minded in discussing things like that.... level headed in stressing your opinions yet ends with respect and not pushy to one another as what should be done to enjoy your friendship.

Yea my best friend has a completely different taste in all the fields but we are best friends. In other words we enjoy a lot our differences, even in music we have different tastes as i lsten to hard metal and she is into soft hip-hop she plays football nicely and i love to watch. I play guitar and she loves to watch so, see life is so sweet for us as we don't have to compete in what ever we do instead we enjoy watching what one is doing.

thats so sweet that you find to enjoy each others' interest just by watching what the other do.. I wish there are a lot more friends like that...

Why not? You make relationships with boyfriends, husbands, family work when we all have different interests. I have two friends whom I consider to be my closest friends and we all have different interests. I dont like sports and they do and so on. So, I spend time with them when they aren't interested in watching sports.

I think that a friendship is not only made about interests. It doesn't really matter wether you have the same interests of your friend or not.
A friendship is also made with love, affection, and respect. So, as long as you respect your friend, and consider it a friend, then there can be friendship even if he likes country music and you like gospel. Even if he is black and you are white. Even if he is fat and you are thin.
What matters, as I said, is the respect. With that, anyone can be your best friend.

Its totally possible. I have a friend and he and I have very different interests. I practically hate him, but I'm his best friend. =]

if you practically hate him, can you consider him your bestfriend then? makes me wonder :)
