Getting In The Game ...

Sabrina - We caught Sabby here, enjoying one of her favourite passtimes. If we've forgotten 'her box,' she'll meow and make the biggest fuss, until we 'accomodate her.'

I believe that all cats are unique, and have their own distinctive personalities. My sister's cat Sabrina (Sabby for short), is no exception. On our recent holiday at my sister's, we were in the midst of one of our board game marathons, when Sabby 'just had to' join in the fun. This has gone on for as long as I can remember. We 'must' put the lid of the game box on the table for her to take a nap in, or she kicks up the biggest fuss. She even manages to 'pussyfoot' her way across the board, without disturbing any of the game pieces. She'll do her best to fit her whole body into the box, no matter how small it may be. I've never seen another cat do this. What about your feline friends?

She's such a pretty cat, first of all. My cats are like that, they're so nosey, they want to be a part of everything, I do. If I buy a pair of shoes, and leave the shoe box open for a minute, one of themwill climb in. When I bring groceries in, they love to climb in the bags. My cat Sneaker, lives up to his name, all the time. If there's food on the stove, he will sneak behind the microwave cabinet and get up there and try to get it, instead of just jumping up there directly, which would be much easier. He likes to dart outside, and I won't let him out at night, so he'll hide behind the couch, and dart out that way, instead of doing it where he's easily seen. Cats are very smart.

Thanks brendakaya. She is very pretty, and I love your cat's name, by the way. Sneaker sounds very clever too. How many cats do you have, and what are the other's names? Thanks for your response.

There is, I hope I don't forget anybody. lol Sneaker, Pesto, Smokey, Chachi, Mikey, Boots, Dudley, Chester, Creamy, Dreamy, Blackie, Fluffy, Booker T, Oscar, Freddy, Princess, Cali, Blondie, Goldie, Priscilla, Gracie, Jasmine, Joy, LuLu, Oneeye, Loney, CJ, I think that's all. Almost all were strays, I got them all fixed, but the 3 oldest,(Cali, Blondie, and Princess) and they never go out. And the 4 newest ones have an appointment in September. No, I don't keep them all in the house, I had a nice big barn built for most of them. lol

Wow, that's a really big family of cats you've got there, and I think it's great to give homes to strays. We did that a lot, when I was growing up. Thanks for sharing all of their names with me. There's some really neat ones.:)

Aww honey Sabby sounds like a really sweet kitty cat! Our cat Tian (and yes Maria is her middle name!) loves to wait til my other half is doing something important on the pc or is just about to win a game on it and then jumps up and stand in front of the screen! Funny thing is when I was still using the pc she would NEVER do it to me! The kids must have told her it was ok to annoy Dad but not to cross Mummy! lol xxx

Sabby is very sweet, mummymo, as is my Anna Belle, pictured in my avatar. I love your kitty's name too. She sounds like our cat, as she'll jump onto the computer desk, and block our view of the entire screen, in a bid for attention. Another thing Sabby does, is she loves it when someone sits on their fireplace seat, and they make 'a bridge' with their legs, for her to lay under. Thanks for sharing.:)

Another thing about Sabby, she just loves male attention ... I mean 'human' males, hehe. She goes crazy to attract my brother-in-laws attention, even literally throwing herself at his feet, at times. She also absolutely adored my niece's boyfriend when he came to visit. Too funny.:)

That's too bad about your mom being afraid of cats, weemam. My brother-in-law's mom, is terrified of them, as someone threw a cat in her face when she was a kid. She's in her 80's now, and has never gotten over it. Allergies to pets can be nasty. Thanks for your response.

that is soooo funny and a very cute pictures. My cat has to be on top of me when im laying down all the time she will find a way to be on top and then fall asleep right away. Either that or she has to be in between me and my fiance before we go to bed normally she gets up about ten minutes later because one of us rolls over and she nearly gets squished. she is a brat but we lov her

Thanks prttynpnkw83. I've heard of others having cats that love to lay on top of them, or be beside them in bed. My cat likes to lay beside me while I sleep, occasionally, as well. Thanks for your response.

I'm a real wimp for any kind of kitty discussion--LOL--I've had cats all my life and I can honestly say no two cats have ever had the same personality. My one cat, Twinkie, who is now in the land of Bast was such a funny one...she was the definite grand dame of the dwelling and let you know it to. We had other cats then as well, and no one DARED to eat out of the same dish as she or drink at the same time as she unless the other cat was willing to be clouted on the head--LOL--oh and yes, all cats do seem to love lying in boxes, don't they? Or crawl into bags

Hi pyewacket, I too, have had cats all of my life, and I agree about the different personalities. We had one when I was growing up, named Fluffy. She definitely made herself known as head of the cat population in our home. Our kitty Anna Belle, pictured in avatar, loves playing in bags. Thanks for your response.

My cat Rusty likes to go in what I call his meditation pose. I have a large picture of him that way hanging on my wall. He will lie on his back paws raised and eyes closed. He does not like to be interrupted until he is finished.

I have a really vivid picture of your Rusty in my mind, in his pose, Pose123. How cute. Is Rusty an orange colour, by any chance? My cat (in avatar) likes to flip over onto her back, for the occasional belly rub. Thanks for your response.

My Mom used to have a beautiful cat named Smokey that loved to sleep in the windowsill in the kitchen during the day and then his bed at night. He would also beg for treats like a dog.

Smokey sounds like he was a beautiful cat for sure, heavenschild. What a cute way to beg for treats. I'm sure he must be missed.
