Yes windows XP is the best operating system every built with many detailed processes and it also wont requires you to reboot your pc most of the times unlike windows 98 ......... and internet works more faster then previous operating systems on it ............

the original windows xp had a lot of security compromises. take for example the blaster worm and the sasser worm that made a lot of companies lost millions. the patches however worked in making the system secure. it is fairly stable now.
