honestly, when i was in elementary and high school i was really grade conscious. i would feel really bad if i don't get the highest scores in the exams. i would really be pissed if my competitors wouldn't let me know what they get from the exams. i guess i was childish then. but during those times i really excelled. i always get good grades. when i stepped into college, i became less of a grade conscious. passing and reaching the GWA was what i did but topping the exam was out of my mind. i became less competitive. i didn't get any laude honors after graduation. i'm thinking now, do i need to be grade conscious in order to get good grades?

Im a grade conscious myself. It started when people admire my grades and have putted in their minds that im smart. I received a medal when i was in elementary Since then im afraid to have lower grades or failed subjects its like a humiliation on me. I always think too that girls or women shouldn't fail only boys do. My grades went down too when i became conscious or should i say have pressured myself in attaining high grades. But then again i've accepted things aren't always like that i became a working student and my grades went down but not too low but its ok as long as its not failure.

By this time, I am still confused with regards to being a grade conscious student. Yes, I used to be a super gc student since elementary, but i feel i don't enjoy my life as a student having that kind of attitude, so I try to change a bit, but now I experience it's consequence, my grades are not really as high as the grades that i can get before. This leads me to face a great problem because i have a maintaining grade as a scholar.

I am very grade conscious. For me my scholarship, which is paying for all of my college tuition, depends on my grades. I can't let the grades slip to far or I won't be able to afford to go to school.

Yeah. I am indeed grade conscious. My mom really encourages me to study but I often find stuffs that distracts my focus from studying. Usually, friends are distractions but here comes the Computer, Internet, boys (ahem) and a couple of stuff I know you're thinking of. I am proud of my grades and I did good on my mock exam. Usually, I don't study for exams. I'll study in a rush; I'm cramming. Anyway, I pass. I think I have "the luck".

Yes, you have to be grade conscious to get good grades. However, we should not allow ourselves to be too grade conscious to the point that it is annoying. I know some people who are like that. They are good friends of mine but their attitude of being too conscious with grades is unbearable. I am grade consious but I don't show it to other people. I just compete with myself.

Grade consciousness is a good practice to have in our life for self appraisal and assessment, as well. As it will enhance or stimulate our self motivation towards leading ourself to self development and to be bold with success story. And it was related to 'ATTITUDE'. There are many of type of attitudes. Good and bad will always referred to advantageous and disadvantageous. And the prettiness of the grade consciousness is having more on the advantageous, as what you are lacking now. In job sector, grade consciousness is on your management skills and it related to your efficiency. What is efficiency? The answer is getting HIGH OUTPUT with LOW INPUT. CONCLUSSION;- YOU NEED IT. As an employee, the appraisal or assessment will totally counts on you management skills.

wow. this is so enlightening. i guess even in the workplace one must strive hard in order to succeed. life is a competition, but it must be with yourself.

yes i am... i am always grade conscious and i always want to score high grade for all my exams and assignments... if i don't get good grades, i will be very upset... it happens since i am still in school until i am in college... and i think i am similar like you... i always want to know what marks my competitors are getting and i'm not happy if they beat me... :-) i guess that is what motivates me to always be hardworking and get good grades...

yes i was grade conscious before when i was also in elementary and high school. my father was a teacher in our school so if i have a low grade, my teachers would report it to him and he would get disappointed. hehe. so i always strive to get a high grade. everytime i get a high grade, my teacher would also report it to him and my father would be proud of me. in college, i am still conscious about my grades but not as much as i was in grade school and highschool. i just did my best to get a high grade and pass the subject. failing would mean additional expenses for my parents which is not what i want. i want to help my family and failing means not helping. hehe. so i managed to graduate in time, took the board exam and fortunately passed. now, i'm currently looking for a job so i could earn and contribute to our billings here and help my parents support my younger brother in his studies. =)

Getting the highest grades has always been very important to me. That feeling and wanting to be proud of myself have always driven me to make sure I work hard on my assignments and get top marks on all my tests. I wouldn't brag about it, but knowing I did the best always makes me want to keep trying harder, and fear of being the worst in the class keeps me from getting lazy. Thinking of school as a competition is a good way to get motivated, I think. If I didn't care about my grades, I wouldn't have any reason to get all my work done! I have always felt this way from elementary school into college. During the time when I was unmotivated during high school, my grades went down a lot. I won't let that happen again.

I am grade conscious when I was in grade school and high school. It is because I want to aim high. I am easily get disappointed when I dont get the highest grade in our class or not topping the exam. But when I am in college my view about that changes. Since I realized that life in college is totally different from grade school and high school. Though I am still aiming high grades that time to prove myself that I can do it. But I dont easily get disappointed when i dont meet that since it is not that easy to do.

Second through sixth grade I was grade conscious but once I hit seventh grade it all went out the door. One reason was because I went to an all year round school during sixth grade. Then was thrust into seventh grade two weeks after getting out of sixth grade. I handled it well but was pissed because I didn't have much of a summer. It was over all my decision to go to the magnet school but in the long wrong, I wish I wouldn't of done it. Hopefully by January 2008, I'll be entering college and most likely I'll be grade conscious there. I want to be a show off for once in my life between my brother and I. He was always the "great school student." Now, it's my turn. lol.

I am a grade conscious student, in my opinion , the grade is a good indicator of one's ability, through the preparing of the test , we can also learn many life lessons like "working hard to achieve the goal" and "you can never take more than you give ".However , I think after my graduation I would pay much less attention to the test scores since the studying is no longer the center of my life at that time.
