I think that is a subject in schools including college level as there is a subject Rizal Course. It deals with the history of the Philippines written by Jose P. Rizal when he was out side the country. But nowadays, it is not much attractive to Filipinos.

That's nonsense! The book is a fiction novel and it is not a history book. History is about facts, a fiction novel is FICTION.

i've read this book when i was in 3rd year highschool. [it's actually required. hehe] Rizal did a really great job in fighting the Spaniards just by writing this book. Many of the events have secret meanings behind them. I also love the continuation of this book, El Filibusterismo. =)

What book are you referring to? Is it Noli me Tangere? Well, sorry to disappoint you, but that book is a fiction novel and is not about Philippine history. It simply portrays a certain portion of our history, the Spanish occupation, but it is not to be considered book on history. History is about facts, this book is fiction,
