24/7 Breakfast

Are you one of those people who can eat breakfast food any time of the day? Places like IHOP or the Waffle House make that possible. But would you like to do that? Have you ever even considered going that route at meals? I've eaten quiche for dinner, and that is somewhat of a breakfast or brunch dish. A lot of people may eat cereal at night, and not really realize they are eating a breakfast food. When it comes down to it, we can eat whatever, whenever. But do you have a preference? Moms and dads, would your kids prefer to eat breakfast foods for dinner? Do you think it would be cheaper than eating 'regular' lunch and dinner meals? I'm curious if anyone has an aversion to this, or if it something a lot of people would like to try.

Strawberry French Toast - MMMmmm, french toast with strawberries!
I would have to say on most days eating breakfast foods for supper isn't really a big deal to me at all AmbiePam. I would have to say it depends on my mood and what I feel like at the time, because some days I want something breakfasty for supper and sometimes when I'm in a picky mood lol I just want something suppery for supper lol. When I do want breakfast for supper though I will usually either order blueberry pancakes, blueberry or strawberry waffles, or french toast with fresh strawberries. Take Care. Love & Hugzz.

I have no problem eating a "breakfast" type meal for dinner...I really don't eat a large breakfast anyway--I mean not one with all the trimmings..to be honest I'm just too lazy to fix a big breakfast for me--so every once in awhile, I'll have a breakfast dinner of scrambled eggs, homemade pancakes and either a few strips of bacon or sausage..Yikes...gee, now I'm getting hungry!!

I would have no clue how to fix a quiche. I think I could follow step by step instructions, and STILL mess it up. You are a talented feline indeed.

I don't really follow the rule of eating breakfast at breakfast time or lunch at lunch time. I have had cold pizza for breakfast and pancakes for dinner. I guess it's what I have a taste for at the time.

I can eat anything at any time of the day. It's really difficult for me to find something eatable that I don't like or consider it's the wrong time of the day to have it. And it's very good to be like that actually. I'm never in trouble when I'm invited to have dinner, 'cause I'm very likely to love the food that will be served. My mother-in-law said it when I was in her house for lunch for the first time: "Wow, you're a very good eater, aren't you?" Hahahaha! I was a little ashamed at the time, but I know she was joking. :) So, if she would serve pizza for breakfast, cereals for lunch and eggs with bacon for dinner, I'd certainly love it anyway. :D

I would choose pancakes or the like over a steak dinner any day. Besides, it will probably sit on your stomach better than a heavy meal like a steak.

No, I tend to be vert "sewt" with my meals. Breakfasts at breakfast, etc. Partly this is diet orientated, in that if I ate the wrong meals at the wrong time, I would gain weight. Also, my stomach can't tolerate certain foods in the early morning. Plus, I need a substantiual meal in the evening to feel full.

Yeah, I understand a lot of people just can't digest breakfast food very well at later times in the day.

Well, if i go somewhere that is serviing breakfast all day, i tend to get breakfast. I dont cook it much at home (we usually have something like toast, bagels or cereal) so when we go out, i like to get it. I also eat cereal for dinner sometimes.

Cereal is actually a good idea for dinner, I think. It's lower on calories, which is good because at night you burn fewer calories, and it isn't too heavy that it would give you indigestion before bedtime.

I sometimes eat cereal at night. Also I eat eggs at night, I like them very much. I only like pancakes in the morning for breakfast, though.

Well i would start by telling you that i did not eat breakfast for many years, i always ate my first meal at noon time, and it was always some breakfast dish, like cereal or muesli and so on, somtimes i even ate the same dish for every meal, because it i easy to make, and you do not have to waste time in preparing it. But for the last two weeks after i consult-ate a health coach, i started eating breakfast every day. I always eat different meal each time: At breakfast i eat a cereal or a sandwich with coffee, At noon we eat here in israel the cooked meal, and in the evening time we eat a light meal like salad, omelet and cheese. I do not eat what i ate at breakfast in the evening time, or other time of the day.

I like eating breakfast for dinner sometimes. More of comfort food then anything. I have been wanting IHOP's pancakes for so long it isn't funny. Maybe one day I'll get to go and eat some. They taste like cake and are so filling. Some cereals are better to eat when you are craving something sweet. Something I could eat anytime during the day is an egg over easy, bacon, cheese melted on bread with mayo. So yummy.

Well that depends because I dont like having brekfast food at my house after the morning because then I eat the other food at the time. But I know when I go to a diner and if they serve brekfast all day then I would order brekfast no matter what time of day it is because its rare that I ever go out to eat brekfast which is why I would order it lol.

I'm a breakfast person and I can eat it at any time of the day. I eat cereal for dinner pretty often. My grandma used to make a big breakfast at lunchtime on Sundays because my husband loves it. We haven't ate over there on a Sunday in awhile, but he would probably want that. Breakfast is good at any time of day because you can eat both savory and sweet.

I worked in breakfast type restaurants for years (think IHOP) and so not only can eat breakfast food whenever, but have seen much of the population do it as well!! Very few people actually go to IHOP to get a burger or the cheese sticks - they go for pancakes! There may be fewer of them going at three in the afternoon, but they still go, and they feed their kids the happy face pancake and get the omlette and all that goes with it! People may say they don't do it, but don't be fooled, people love eatign breakfast 24/7!

I've eaten at IHOP a lot over the years, and I don't think I ordered anything BUT breakfast food.

I could eat breakfast every meal of the day. We've had days where we have omelettes or waffles for dinner, and once in a while we even have pancakes for dinner. It's just food. It doesn't really matter when you eat it, although a lot of dinner foods are just too heavy to eat for breakfast.

To me, a meal is just something to go inside the mouth to satisfy the stomach's craving. I do take heavy breakfast (imagine fried rice with soup) in the early morning after I wake up. Of course, for dinner, I might just have a cup of Milo and 2 pieces of bread with peanut butter - that's breakfast stuff, isn't it? Not an issue with me as I am used to eating rubbish during meal times. LOL.

There's nothing wrong with eating "breakfast food" at any other time of the day. Pancakes and waffles are nice, and they're filling enough to be eaten for lunch or dinner anyway. By the way, do you really consider cereals to be only for breakfast? I think they're nice snacks for whenever I feel a bit hungry.

No, I don't consider cereal to be only breakfast food. I never said that. It was originally designed to be a breakfast food. but we don't think of it that way anymore. I don't think there is anything wrong with eating whatever anyone wants, this was just a fun question, not anything serious.
