When you started a discussion and found out that it is similar to a previous one

like you, i look at my earning first then today's hot topics...

It can be disapponting but we have to understand that there has been so many discussion since mylot started,chances are that almost every topic you might thought to post has already been posted, asked and discussed.As long you didn't do it intentionally it's ok. Last April, I started a discussion, and was surprised after 3 days to see the same discussion posted by a friend,boy I was disapponted but I knew she didn't mean to duplicate mine.

It has happened on the odd occasion to me, but most times I do search for similar discussions. With some, I get quite a surprise that the discussion has already been started!

Hi there. It cant be helped when its like that, and this kind of thing happens all the time, I know Ive accidentally and unintentionally come up with the similar or near same discussion, and not realised until, after I actually posted... Good luck with your posting...

It is very common, many people think alike and no body is original - but it is always better to search before posting a new discussion to avoid duplication in future.

If it was previously posted by someone else then I make a response to their discussion and apologise. I used to feel bad about it but as long as we have so many users it is inevitable that there could be a couple of discussions about the same topic.

i also feel as the same as yours. im quite discouraged but it's ok to me. maybe i just didn't saw the same disscussion. for so many members here, it is not impossible to have a same disscussion as anybody else.

I seldom start a discussion, so i have no such experience..
