Would have been in touch earlier but mom was helping me with the disability papers.
Went to the dr. this morning. Dr. said:
Have completely lost the sight in right eye, the damagae that is done to left eye is perminant. Still can not use a sharp knife, sissors, have to still be careful with everything that i do. Have to keep stress levels down. bp was 130/70 and he said that was good compared to when i came into the er room. He has said that my cholestoral is good but he put me on some meds because i had a stint 2 years ago and then the stroke. he is ordering a blood sugar test next month before the next dr. visit.
Said that I would bring you up to date and I have..He also increased my headache pills.

My prayers are still here with you mamakat0. I'm so sorry to hear about all your vision problems. Is there anything they can do for that, like some kind of laser surgery or would that be too much for you...I wouldn't want it to tell you the truth, but if it could help me see better. Your blood pressure does sound much better...goodness I think it's even better than mine...LOL
As I said you're still in my prayers. I don't know if you saw it on your profile page but I made this up for you and am posting here as well.

Hi and thank you. yes i got the card and i put it in my keepers file. I asked all kinds of questions that i could think of and my mom did too. but the bottom line is that under the law i am blind. maybe the disability will send me to rehab. i do not know. the dr. did say that i was one lucky person and that it could have been much worse.
Yes I am sad but I decided yesterday that i was going to do all that I can to keep what vision i have and make the best of it.

I am so sorry to hear about your stroke. I know you will have a long road a head of you. I think you will have no problems getting disability once you get all the papers filled out.
I keep you on my mind good luck with everything.

i feel so sorry for you mamakat0 for everything that you have to go through... i hope you will recover soon and my prayers go to you... keep your faith in Him and please be strong... i believe everything will be fine... take care and please keep us updated about your situation... God Bless you...

So you have a good list of things to work on! Make sure you take the best possible care of yourself... keep living in hope! And when you tell us what your treatment is, I know that I for sure take it all to heart... your information has been having an impact on what I do ever since I first heard if your problems!
An emergency room doctor that didn't even really know me told me I was a prime candidate for a stroke and it really shook me up... I was having so much FUN sitting back fat, dumb and happy! But I'm learning that I can't take anything for granted anymore...
