I signed up for a ptc site that pays only by alterpay, e-gold or safepay. Of course, I have paypal. Do you know anything about these other forms of recieving payment. Any advice as to which would be the best to join, if any? The company is from Canada and I am in the US, so I thought that they would have paypal. Guess I should have researched that long ago.

I am a member of alertpay and e-gold. AlertPay pays to banks in US and Canada and sends checks to other countries. E-gold uses e-gold exchanges and I find that their fees can be quite high.

Not living in the US, I am not able to compare the fees that they charge for transfering money to US banks. However, for me, AlertPay is better because they can send a check to my country whereas for paypal, I can't take out my money.

Thanks for your comments. I think that if I do continue with this site I will go with Alterpay. Have you gotten money using them?

Alert Pay is a good site, however, if you want to get you money out, or use it to sign up for a subscripton, you have to be verified. They require a picture ID and a utility bill in your name to be verified. I just recently found this out because they rejected my proof of address because it was not a utility bill in my name. Since all that stuff is in my husband's name, my money is stuck in Alert Pay.

Wow, that really sucks for you! I do have a utility bill that comes in my name, so that won't be a problem. Thanks for the heads up on that one.

I signed up for e-gold, it's more popular than the other ones, which I haven't heard of them. E-gold is easy to sign up and it's similar like paypal.
