Not again...

As a youngster I had epileptic attacks, mine were pretty heavy. Always knocked down on the ground, and all my muscles were active (I've had 2 different types of medicin). I was 7 when I moved from a big city to a small town, after we moved I never got an attack again, so they said I've grown over it. Now, 12 years later it seems it's coming back... When I come home my girlfriend is always waiting for me, and then she comes with me to my bedroom. Sometimes I lay down to rest a bit, but then suddenly I am gone. When I wake up I feel all tired and my girlfriend is holding me softly and says I had it again. She says my arms and sometimes my legs but especially my eyes are moving intense, last times she told me my arm looked like the arm of a Dragonball Z character, with the vains laying on top being all intense... :S Is it back? I really hope this is something else, but yeah the chance is very big for me to have it back. But let's hope not, anyone else with some experience?

My son had hundreds, possibly thousands, of seizures when he was 4 and 5 and nothing stopped them but a special diet called the ketogenic diet. He is 17 now and seizure free since he was 5 BUT I know there is a chance that the seizures could come back. You really need to see a doctor. If you have one while driving or something, you could die! Things have changed a lot and new strides have been made to stop seizures. There are treatments now that there weren't even 10 years ago. Please go and see if that is what is happening. You may have a virus and they may go away just as fast as they came but seizures can be dangerous and you don't want to put your brain through a lot of trauma. Some medication can completely stop seizures and make you feel fine. There are other treatments as well. If my son's seizures come back (I pray not), he would be at the doctor's immediately because, left untreated, anything could happen. Good luck to you but please don't disregard this. It may only last a short time or may be completely controlled with a small dose of medication.

Yeah I know, thanks for the comment. It actually did happen one time while driving my bike, was like a week ago but I was with my friends so it went alright. And I do hope also that your son won't get them back, but the chance are pretty high specially if you live in a big city (atleast that goes for me, every person has different things he can't handle), because of the air and noises etc. it comes back most of the time. (Sorry for my poor explanation and english, but that's because I'm Dutch and I'm not the best at english.)

Serellyn, I have had epilepsy since 1979.Mine was induced by a head injury.I would go to a neurologist if that is possible, cause it sounds like something may be changing within the brain and needs to be watched very carefully. Anything from stress to flashing lights to loud sounds could set this seizure off on it's own.So just to make sure please have this checked out. Sincerely Diana

Thank you for your comment, my life at the moment is pretty stressful and I found out i'm allergic to sunlight and TL-light (is that the correct english word?). after a while those lights make my eyes red and very small, and if I spend more time in it my body will be very numb and I can't even lift things anymore. SO there's definatly something going on, this is the first year I've got that. But well, I'll wait for a bit more, to see what will happen. but anyway thanks for you advice, I'll keep it in mind.
