Now, I have a question for you all. If the Doctor, and Martha were sent back in time and the Tardis was stuck in the future, how exatly did the Doctor know what Sally Sparrow was going to say? Yeah, you would think they covered it when she handed the Doctor a script at the end of the episode & the doctor was going on about how time isn't linear at all but no. That doesn't cover it. See, the script never would have been made in the first place. I mean, how could it? If the Doctor and Martha were stuck in the past there would have been really no way to obtain information about the future to make the script(the easter egg in the dvds), thus Sally really couldn't have saved the Tardis and she wouldn't have had the script to give to the Doctor in the first place at that given point(end of the episode). I dont know, maybe theey did reconnisance or something because they knew that they being the Doctor, and Martha would be sent back in the past at some point. I was also thinking that maybe that wasn't it at all, maybe they being the Doctor and Martha have did this numerous times sending things to Sally Sparrow & Sally Sparrow handing them to the unknowing Doctor and Martha of the past(the scene at the end of the show) & time after time the Doctor and Martha kept obtaining more and more information about Sally Sparrow and maybe eventually instead of reconnisance obtaining enough information to know exactly what Sally Sparrow was going to say but even that theory has holes in it! I mean, if anything she might not have even been involved and it would have been more likely that her friends brother(The discoverer of the Easter Eggs in the first place) would be the one that would be running into the unknowing Doctor and Martha of the past & handing them the information. What also puzzles me is if the Angels were the ones who sent the Doctor and Martha back in the first place, why would they send the cop back to the same time period as the Doctor and Martha? Or did it mention somewhere that when they send someone to a different time that they have no control over what time exactly they send the person to? I mean, if they sent the cop back to the past that's only really helping the Doctor and Martha.. I dont know, maybe i'm mising something here, anyone have any thoughts or agree with me in these ideas? Or maybe want me to explain these theorys a bit better? Here's a good overview of the episode i'm talking about: http://www.mylot.com/w/blogarticle/429811.aspx

Sally gave the Doctor the script at a point in his lifespan before he encountered the angels, although a later chronological time. I also think it wasn't just the script, but also a bunch of notes about what had happened, so that the Doctor could prepare for the event. The reason the cop was sent to the same time as the Doctor was explained when the Doctor said it must have been the same angel that sent them back in time. I guess each one had a favorite year.

It's a standard time travel paradox, where something in the future changes the past. Things become a sort of loop. basically, she had the information to give to them, because on her time line, they already had the information and used it to set up things like the DVD's and the writing under the wall paper. And then, her own fascination with what happened drove her to compile the information they would need to set the whole thing in motion on their own time.

Thank you for marking mine as best response. What were you trying to ask? I read and watch a lot of science fiction so I might be able to explain it. Depending on what you are asking of course.

Hi Louie, That is a very interesting question. I am sure that you know your answer by now considering that it was a year ago that you've asked the question. I just wanted to say that sorry, I'm not familiar with this show but a good question regardless. Sometimes, I wonder about the TV shows or movies that I watch. There are always things that don't make sense to me either but no one seems to get what I mean when I ask questions regarding the show. They think I think too much into the story and then it doesn't make sense the more you think about it logically.

Okay, so they did cover this when the Doctor was talking about time not being linear. Sally gave the Doctor the packet before these events had happened in HIS timeline. So, he and Martha had not yet gone to the past, even though the events had already happened to Sally. My interpretation of the Angels was that each Angel has a specific time period. I think that the Doctor says something about Billy probably being touched by the same one as he and Martha since it sent him to the same year. So maybe they are each sort of pre-programmed to a specific year, and people can end up anywhere in that specific time frame.

Mntlward's thoughts make sense to me. I get such a kick out of the show, I don't really get all into how it does or doesn't make sense on the timeline. On another note, those flippin' angels scared the heck outta me!
