My neighbors house is burning to the ground...

I have never witnessed a house burn to the ground...the whole house is up in flames. The fire fighters are putting it out as I type this..My heart just hurts to watch it...Not sure if everyone got out yet or anything...I am just so sad right now...I was in tears...At first they were yelling, get back, it's gonna blow....There are people and cars and cops all over the place...I had to take a break and come tell all of you...They just remodeled too!..They have a bunch of puppies, I hope they all got out....Talk later....My hands are shaking.....

Did they know what caused the fire? I know it must be terrible, but it could do with the stuff they used to remodel the house with. In that case, they could recover damages.
By the way, it looks like there was something amiss, so probably there will be an investigation. I do hope the family is okay,the puppies are okay, and that they have plenty of insurance.
I will say a prayer for them that they will get satisfaction and the insurance settlement pays them a good sum.

From what I've heard it was a toaster oven....All the family is fine...Red Cross is up there and the fire crews are still there..

Oh no, that is just awful. I am sorry to hear such sad news. If you know them and some of their friends well you might want to start calling around to gather up some assistance for them.

All the neighbors are helping out...The red cross was up there also...It is so sad...Thank you.

Oh, Feona, I hope everyone is alright! That must be very scary for you right now!
I did witness something similar once. It wasn't nearly that bad though. I used to live next to a historic hotel turned rundown apartment building. Just before Christmas one year the under renovation third floor caught fire. Flames were shooting out the roof and smoke was billowing into my house but we were unable to leave because the road was blocked. A firefighter suffered very minor injuries but they were able to repair the building.

Oh how terrible. I hope everyone is alright. A house can be replaced a life is gone forever. I'll say a prayer for you and your neighbors.

Oh my bloody god! I hopwe that everyone was okay...? Please update us. Fire is such a horrible thing. It is indiscriminate. It doesn't care if it burns people or your cherished items like photos and little childrens blankies... sigh so horrible. Those poor people. Feona, do they need anything?? I know you're in the USA and I'm in Canada but I would definitely send out a care packet if those folks needed anything. Food, clothes, books, anything they need, please let me know.

that's really awful and sad... i will definitely say a prayer for your neighbours... i can't imagine losing everything that i have in one go and have nowhere to stay... i pray that God will give thme the strength and comfort to go through the hard times and they have a place to stay... take care and God Bless...

Oh, that's so sad, Feona! I'll have to keep you, your neighbors, and their puppies all in my thoughts!
It is so hard to see something like that. I've seen fires a few times, and been in one once. So I can understand how terrifying it is, especially if you've never seen it.

I witness something of that nature over a year ago,is only by the grace of God that the old woman in the house was not get burnt.I believe something of that nature can not do without happening in our society, what we just need to do, is to be careful with electrical gadget, and those things that can cause disaster like fire in our home.God will continue to guide us..............

I hate fire, it makes you feel so helpless! I hope everyone got out including the puppies. The firefighters know their job and if they can they will rescue everyone, sometimes they can not go back in for animals. May God bless this poor family!

Thats terrible news. I lost a very good friend in a fire. I have read your comments to others and I see that the family is ok but I am patiently waiting to hear about those puppies.

That had to be quite horrifying! You see things like this in the news, but it never touches you too deeply because it is happening "to someone else" and it's not anyone you know. To actually see it, to realize it's impact and the destructive power...wow...how terrible.

I'm sorry that that happend. I've seen a House burn on the mountains, we were driving home, and saw some smoke, we stayed for a while. Anyways, glad everyone is okay.
