Ganguly is in form now and his opening with tendulkar is best in England series. It is not good to separate them as they have good record.we have seen Gambir and tendulkar partnership in first two ODIs of AUS.So its better to retain Ganguly with tendulkar and make Gambir as 4th batsman

I dont think so.Saurav.Ganguly has performed well in the recent matches and also performed well in quite a few occasions in the past.Gambir looks a bit vulnarable to get out in the starting.India dosent want somebody getting out cheeply in the initials overs of the match.Gambir is a good stroke player. He will also proove useful in the midlle order.Ganugly is a very good timer of the cricket ball and has a very good record as an opening batsman.I feel Ganuly and Tendulkar should open the batting for India till they decide its time for them to hangup thier boots and call it a day in international cricket.

of course gambhir is a good batsmen but on the other hand ganguly is very good in batting and he is experienced too.now a days he is scoring too.there shd not be any replacement of the player.they shd be selected on the basis of their form during hte match

i think still Ganguly is perfect to open with Sachin.Gambhir is a good batsman but lacks experience as far as I am concerned. He should bat in middle order as Sachin started his career.

Yes Gambhir has improved his bating style and is active in field also. But i think sachin also has to retired now as the circket playing style and enjoying style has changed.if you observe the last matches that the 2 matches with aussies he is not active in field and as well as in batting. It's time for youngstars....to show some power and some style.....what you say
