Laundry Woes

kemore Washer - This is the washer we currently have. I love it, but it can be sneaky at times! :)

As I'm started another weeks worth of laundry I am wondering what treasures I'll find. Most days I'll find on average 11 cents or so that falls out of pockets. There always seems to be at least one shredded tissue (yuck!) I am always leary to wash after my husband's jeans after he's been doing do DIY work at the house. I've found pens, crayons, nails, and screws in the laundry after those days. I know I should go through all these pockets before I wash. But I don't take the time. Most items are found before they go to the dryer (They crayons DON'T like the dryer!) so it isn't a real big deal. Once, however, my hubby lost a tiny screw in the washer. Somehow it got under the rubber seal, and started scratching the outside of the tub. THAT was a horrible noise. I'm grateful that DH could take it apart and get that little bit of metal out of there and save the wash. So, do you check the pockets before you wash? Do you find treasures in the laundry? What's the worst laundry experience you've ever had?

It's the opposite in my house. I empty my pockets before I toss the clothes into the laundry room. My wife throws her aprons from work into the washer with ink pens, coins, and some checks (bills) from the restaraunt even. Another is turening the clothes inside out when taken off. Grrr! I find a lot of coins when I do the laundry as my wife is a waitress so she leaves a lot in her aprons and pockets. Tissues are the worst if they get through to the dryer as well. Ugghh! tHE worst experience would have to have been when my kids were small tots. the nasty soiled underwear of course they hid in the bottom of the pile. YUCK!!! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~ HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

OOOOHHH those nasty pants. Yes, I get those a lot, too. Especially now when I'm potty training. So gross. I guess the money thing is OK, as long as the Feds don't gets us for "money laundering!" LOL! Have a great day!

Money, pens, tissues, Chapstick. If I find dollar bills in the wash then I keep them. My worst laundry expereince was my son had a Sharpie pen in his pocket. It got blue ink everywhere, all over the laundry and all inside the dryer. I had to scrub the inside of the dryer and it took forever to clean it!

OOOHHH I hate when that happens! I had a green blanket that actually STAINED the inside of my dryer. It bled so bad in the wash, that the dye stuck to my dryer walls. No amount of scrubbing will ever get it off. SOOO the inside of my dryer has been green for a little over 2 years. LOL!
