1000 Island, French, Italian,What do you put on your salad?

Recently we have started putting both Italian and French dressing on our salads (my boyfriend and I) and it's really good. As a matter of fact, I'm chowing on a salad at this very moment and it's very good. Just thought I'd share...LOL. Try it...

My favorite is blue cheese dressing, but lately we go to a pizza place that makes their own ranch dressing and that is absolutley wonderful. I buy a quart of it to take home to use. I only wish that I could make a dressing as good as that one is.

Blue cheese was my moms favorite. I would always try to think in my head where they get cheese that was blue to make that stuff. My brother would tell me it started out blue but once it was made, it was white. And I would really believe it...Good...huh!!!!LOL. Lovely childhood! LOL...

my favorite dressing is ginger dressing thats found in japanese places. its an orange color, its sweet, tasty and a lot healthier than other dressing while being yummy and satisfying.

I just had some ginger chicken the other day, I'd love to have again. That stuff is really good... When I read what you posted, I got really hungry. LOL.

Personally I like my salad naked, I just like plain salad not too fancy, although I only have iceberg lettuce not all these fancy lettuces they seem to use these days. I guess I would turn to dressings on my salads if i used them but for me naked naked naked.... :)

I guess it depends on what mood im in when I get a salad. Sometimes I have ranch dressing, somtimes I have thousand island and others I have a cesar salad. Its all good!!

Yeah, that's true...mood has alot to do with...I love cesear salads. There's great chicken cesear salads at this New York deli I'd crawl on my knees to get to...yum yum yummy!

I feel like one of those old tv commercials..."what? Bottled dressing on my fresh salad?!" hehehe
It sounds good though! I used to use Ranch dressing on my salads all the time, but I put a lot of stuff in my salads and I couldn't taste the difference between them... every bite just tasted like ranch dressing!
Now I make a sort of ceasar type dressing with olive oil, lemon juice, and plenty of mashed up anchovies. Not everybody likes anchovies as much as I do though. I think the reason it works better for me than the ranch is because when I use ranch I'm inclined to drown my salad in it, but the olive oil/anchovy thing I use much less of, just a light coating is all I need.
Boy now my mouth is watering for a salad!

You're not the only one.... I really am hungry!!! Sorry, I can't do the anchovies though. But come at me with everything else! Right now, I'm heading to the fridge...

There was a time when anchovies made me gag... literally. But then I read that they were among the best sources of the omega fatty acids, so I started out just taking a little pinch of anchovy in my salad - much more than that and like I said, I would be gagging. I gradually developed a taste for them though, and now I will sometimes crave them!

I do love my dressings. (Even though, the reason i usually get a salad is because i'm trying to loose weight and eat healthy. And let's face it...those dressings can add up to quite a bit) Anyway, my favorites are defiantly Ranch, Italian, and Caesar. Yum.
Sometimes, if i really wanna put on weight i eat Pepproni Pizza with Ranch dressing. Yummier. lol :)
