Has anyone else had it or considering it?

I had laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass in 1999. I have done just fine with mine. My weight has stabilized at 219. That is still obese, but at least it isn't 327! I can stay at this weight without any work. If I worked at it and watched my diet, I could get down further. My sister had Crohn's disease and had to have her first bypass reversed. She insisted on having a second bypass and it killed her. Well the combination of liver damage due to the Crohn's disease, the bypass putting stress on her liver and being weakened by an infection did it too her. I am now lactose intolerant. If I overeat, I throw up. Some foods like spaghetti noodles and rice are difficult to eat. If I eat too much sugary stuff, it causes "dumping". I get really bad cramps and somethings get diarrhea. When it really bothers me, I have to take a nap. It just works for me. Have you had a gastric bypass? When? How are you doing with it? Are you considering a gastric bypass? Do you have a surgery date? I'd love to hear from you.
