I am using water therapy eversince i was in college, our professor in food technology adviced us to drink water rather than drink medicine. In drinking medicine we should follow prescriptions of doctors like what grams will our body could take a day, but in water we don't any amount. As long as we drink water, we will avoid any diseases.

I don't take medicines either, but I've never tried a water therapy. What's the deal with it?

So that's the big "water therapy"? Drinking a lot of water? I was under the impression that it's something more elaborate. After all, drinking much water is recommended in any situation, not necessarily for the sick.

hello! as a universal solvent, water helps in cleansing the body. its safe beacause it doesn't have any side effects (as long as you're drinking a clean water)unlike with any liquids.. :-)

I am glad that you have recovered from your cold by drinking plenty of water, which helps to you. But if I have a cold, water doesn't help much because I still have to take pills, without which the cold still goes on. But when I have a sore throat, water helps a lot.

Water sometimes does help clear up a headache. You should also get more foods rich in vitamin C and (sometimes)potassium. Glad you are feeling better Prettynblue.

hello there! thanks for the quick reply. its easy, once you felt that you're going to have a fever or colds, drink plenty amount of water. i really help a lot. it cleanses your body and can help wash away toxins. fruit juices can also be of help (but its quite expensive and sometimes can cause some allergic reactions especially that of citrus family). so, for a more economical and easy way of getting rid of fever and colds...drink water. :-)

hi prettyNblue! ^__^ i also believe in the power of water therapy. whenever i have colds, i don't take meds, instead, i only drink a lot of water. the same thing when i have a cough. water with calamansi juice or orange juice. i guess its better than taking meds because its natural and there's no foreign substances like those found in meds. ^__^

I am sorry to hear were you feeling ill, glad you are better and is what you call 'water therapy' known as hydrotherapy in which the body is submersed in aromatherapeutic essential oils and a invigorating whirlpool effect is provided? It can also be called 'aquatic therapeutic intervention' for stress management, birthing babies, and helping paraplegics and quadraplegics keep their muscles from atrophying. sharing the light, Miss Erica Hidvegi, the Enlightenment Advisor,B.A. Psych (spclztn in Child Dvlpt & Abnrml), M.A. Transpersonal Psych Studies- Cnslng/ Author, Artist, Photographer, Entrepreneur & Freelance extraordinaire http://360.yahoo.com/affect_ive1
