you notice the discussion is HUGE, maybe 3 or 4 large paragraphs.. Do you still read all of the conversation and reply? Or do you just skip it and go on to something else. This came to mind when I came across a discussion, the title really caught my eye, but since I'm feeling lazy today..when I saw how much detail there was in the discussion I just gave up after the first paragraph and didn't even bother to respond. Ever done this before?

Nope, I don't do that. If it interests me I don't care how long it is. If it's long it's most likely a good quality discussion. I have skipped super shourt ones before though because I felt like if that person couldn't take the time to write more than just a couple lines and engage me in an interesting discussion then I wasn't going to take the time to respond to them.

I usually don't but sometimes I read through whole discussions that are decades long and I end up having nothing to say 'cause I lost interest half way through, or they've said everything I could say already.

I will start reading if it holds my interest I continue. Others, are so convoluted that I can not understand them and I give up. I have no rule on how long the discussion can be.

I have to say that I am the same. Sometimes if the topic is long winded you lose intrest or if to complex I don't always understand it and give up.

it has happened to me earlier too. there are something that may caught my attention. when i try to read this it may be such that it is very much lengthy or the context is not so interesting. i have also left that in between inthat situation.

It depends on what mood I'm in if ever I see a discussion like that. Usually, when I'm in the mood to respond to discussions, I look for them and when I see one, I just minimize the window box and get back right to it. So, if ever I see one that you were talking about, I just go back to that later when I'm finally able to read the whole discussion. Usually, I save the discussions with long post for last. That way, I can fully concentrate on it.

if a title fascinates me ,then i go ahead with the details.however i never give up in the middle.i think a person has taken so much effort to jot down such a descriptive view so i sud go for it.n most of the time i found that its quite worth reading n responding to such discussion.

I am also extremely tired when I come on here and do it for relaxing purposes. I do not like reading long ones even if the title is amusing. I simple go back and find another one. At this point and time Id prfer not to read a story book when it should be a detailed couple sentences!!!

I read all the way through then respond. I would expect the same thing of others so as my motto says I so unto others and I would have them do unto me.

I don't care about if the subject is huge.I only care about if the subject interests me.If the subject interests me,i will be patient with it.

hello katisaurus, yes it's like as you said, when I saw too long words and paragraph than I'm become lasy read it, only 3 - 6 line of words I think is the best composition for a forum like mylot and the other, using 3 - 6 lines of words makes us easier to read and understand the meaning and ask more if we still can't get the idea of the topic, I think thats the best, IMO.
