do you agree that man by nature is insatiable? that they have no contentment? give them a little of a thing this day and they will want a bigger one or more the next. someone will say, i am contented of what i have or what i am, but i'm sure that at the back of their mind, they're thinking of the opposite. what do you think?

Agreed. This is why we have all these problems in almost all countries in the world. The people who has 1 million, cannot sleep cos he is planning how he wants to make that 10 times. People who have one acre, are fighting with the neighbour who has only 10 perches to grab that small land. That is the human nature and i think very rarely only can someone get away from this craving.

No, I absolutely do not. It is entirely a matter of education and maturity. Many people are indeed as you describe, but that is not, in my opinion, the natural condition. Assuming that you use the term "man" to include both men and women, it may be true that men and women mature at different ages. On the average, I think that it takes "boys" a bit longer than "girls" to settle down. At some point, though, it all evens out.

I do not beleive that it is by nature that man is insatiable. I think that is learned. There are very definately areas in which I am very content with my life. Of course, there are areas that I could want more. For me, though, I have learned that wanting bigger or more is a disappointment. Take, for example, yesterday's holiday. The day was great. Nothing big and exciting happened, and we missed out on a trip to Disney Land with my husband's family to stay home (long story). A lot of people would really have wanted that trip to Disney Land. For me, though, it was more satisfying to stay home. Yes, it seems that in this day and age we all want bigger and better. I really do think it is a learned repsponse, though, not nature.
