I Joined Yuwie

I am still not sure how I feel about the statement. But I did it. Last night I joined Yuwie. I am really afraid that I won't be able to make much money with it because I hate people who hunt down others hoping to get that referral and so much of their payment seems based upon that referral and how many people are under neath you in a pyramid (all things that scare me!) I figured I would give it a month (I won't find out how much I earn till next month around the 15th) and see what I think. This is what I know...they have a ton of ads, everywhere. Pop ups, ads here before you go there, ads everywhere. It is frustrating with that many ads, which means I better make a lot of money or I am out of there. I was wondering what others have experienced. Please don't leave a referral, then I will just think you are hoping to get more people under you. I want honest opinions not hyped up ones hoping to get rich (this has been the biggest issue with Yuwie conversations). If I post daily, add friends, and participate on my friends pages, can I make money with zero people under me...that is the question!

I am not a member of Yuwie and don't have any interest whatsoever in joining. MyLot is enough to satisfy me. Please post something after a month and let us know how you are doing on the site and if it's profitable. I always understood it to be more of a socializing spot than an actual earning site. I'd much rather write articles for Hubpages.com and know I will be earning. Good luck and hope you find Yuwie profitable.

Well...so far it is a LOT like mySpace in set up. It doesn't seem much like a socializing spot. The whole goal is to get as many page views (that's how you are paid). So, you set up a profile, add pictures, throw on some blog entries (every time someone views each of those pages you get a paid page view). Then you make friends so that they will come read your blog and view your pages. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of real socialization though, more just working the system and the people around you to get page views. Unless I make some serious money (I have gotten 177 page views and 21 friends in about 48 hours) I won't stick around. However, I think it is a good experiment.

I didn't know it was similar to MySpace. That is a definite turn off for me. Our kids are members of MySpace and love it but it's not for me. Thanks for the information.

i joined yuwie about the same time i joined mylot, about 3weeks ago. at first i used it everyday. now i use it maybe once or twice a week. i just haven't gotten into it. but, i'm doing as you are - giving it time to see how much i make on it. if i make a decent amount then i'll keep it. but i doubt i will so i'll probably just be deleting mine.

I've never heard anything good about yuwie and like you I don't go hunting people down to have referrals so I never joined it myself. I wish you nothing but luck at it though.
