do you think that you are in the right job?

This is the case in the company that I am working with. When our employees get hired, they undergo an orientation process. They are being familiarized about the character traits and attitudes that the company expects from them. They are also reminded of basic values at work, especially in dealing with colleagues and clients. The subjects taken up during the orientation are also reinforced during staff meetings, where the employees are continually reminded of these work ethics. And I think that putting the right people in the right positions enables them to exercise their talents and skills and thus give more input to the company. We try to identify each one’s strengths and put them to good use by placing these people in positions that will have the best use for their strengths. What do you think? Are you in the right job now? In the right position and level for your expertise and experience? Or are you seeking something else?

Every trade has its master and one can distinguish himself in any trade. You are lucky if you are in the job position, because a lot of people are not in their right position. What are they going to do?There are two ways to choose,I believe, they can alternate their jobs or love their jobs.To make ourselves love our work is of great importance.

"To make ourselves love our work is of great importance." you have made a rather good point there xing. yeah, we can either pursue the career that we think we will love, or we can love what we already have. what kind of job do you think you would love? :-)

Every one has its goal and his whole work could approach his goal even if it is a minima thing in my opinion. Therefore we had better make effort to do these things.I could not see sometimes what is good for my goal, however.

Trial room - A trial room on the computer. You can try on clothes on the computer and see if they suit you.
That's great. I wish that was available at all the companies. Though I was happy everywhere I worked, I wasn't in a job that suited me the best till now. I am happy doing what I do now and would have loved to have started off my career in this job.

Hello spoiled311, Honestly, I am not in the right position and whatever I am doing now is far from my education background. I do have 15 years of experience in the job that I am doing but I still feel that this is not the job that I want in my life. I am still here, working with the company as I think I am in a comfort zone when you talk about working hours, responsibility and so on. But thinking of the satisfaction of being in a job that you enjoy so much and willing to commit your whole life for it, I don't think this is what I want.

well, gr8life, if you are happy and content with it, then you can go on. but if you are dissatisfied and you are not being paid well, then you can consider moving on. maybe start your own business or something. it was not easy when i started and it was rather radical move. i had nothing with me except my last pay. but thank God, He showed me through the difficult times. :-) i am sure you will do fine.

Hello spoiled311, There are pros and cons about staying in the same company for the past 9 years. I always doubt whether I should go or just stay here and doing the same thing all over again. Thanks for your advice. I do think of setting up my own business with my hubby. We are still at the early stage and I hope the year 2008 will bring luck and prosperity for our family. Hope it will be the same for you and the family too. Thanks for the BR.

I agree with you of the comment that the right person in the right position have more strenth.Because this will keep the interest in doing job,it's the best army for improving achievement. I think I'm in the right job, because I am so interested in the foreign trade. The problem of my job is the low laborage,so I am looking for another factory now.
